Anyone watching The Car Show on SPEED TV?
First episode is tonight, Adam Carolla is the host.

I don't mind Top Gear America, anything with cars is fine with me. The ultimate failure of Top Gear America is all three are not believable as "Car Guys" to me. The premise of Top Gear UK is you have three automotive journalists who happen to be eccentric, hilarious and mates that make the greatest car show ever.
There are funny, interesting american autmotive journalists...where are they? John Phillips from Car and Driver? How about Peter Egan? I don't know the personalities of all these people, Patrick Bedard would be another one...but this is where they should have started. I think Dan Neil is the type of guy you need, a car journalist who is interesting and believable. I would have loved to see Jay Leno as the guy on Top Gear. Funny, credible and entertaining.
My two cents but I will catch this on Friday.
