600whp 63!
Since I decided to call it an early weekend, I wasn't able to stick around for the dyno runs. However i just spoke with Rich @ Dyno-Comp over the phone. He tells me the CLS 63 they just installed a Weistec supercharger on made 600whp! On a Dyno Dynamics dyno. I'm waiting for an email of the chart and I guess a video of the dyno run.
Mods include
Weistec Supercharger
MBH Long Tube Headers
MBH catless mid section w/ Xpipe
Not sure on tuning. If its Weistec's or Dyno-Comp's
However If Rich called me to tell me. It mean its working perfect. I will say this. i've seen some supercharger kits in my day. the Weistec kit is right up there when it comes to quality. Its really made well. I will pass more details as they come in. Not bad for 91 octane pump gas, on a 104 degree day.

Dyno chart and video link
Lets just say this car is shoots flames! I just spoke to Richard again. it is Weistec's software. He was very impressed to say the least with not only the supercharger, but the software too. Mated with the MBH header, xpipe and catless mid-section. this CLS is shooting flames! I don't know it thats a first for a street driven Mercedes, but its awesome none the less.

The power obtained on that dyno is insane but I would like to know exactly how much power that supercharger added.
I believe that the customer is the same customer (rrafinancial)that once had the rennntech package, then he had custom headers done by Goodspeed etc..
How much power alone did the Supercharger added? that is what I need to know. Congrats to all of you by the way..

I'm good buddies with Rick (RAR) This is for sure not his car. I wish it was though. Any time I get to hang with rick is always good fun, he makes me laugh.
This car did have an Dyno Comp and MBH package on it that made about 480whp and when we added the weistec supercharger we picked up another 120whp. on 91 octane summer blend pump gas. Its quite remarkable. We have another weistec build coming soon. Who knows maybe Rick will jump on board and head out to AZ for one. hard to do that when James @ ACG is right around the corner from rick. Not to mention they are more than able to install a supercharger.

^^ WOW! Thanks for the clarification, I thought that this CLS was Rick's, there are not many highly modded CLS on that color around..
480whp is already very high to begin with. Again, congrats!

Rick is a funny guy. Met him at the private rental that Jim setup for his Weistec runs. After he reads/sees this, he'll probably be sticking his hand into his pocket to fish out his wallet.

im about to take up my wallet and order a supercharger, but im still waiting for the "FIRST" to show us all how fast the speedometer accelerate, one clip with focus on the speedometer would definitly make me order a supercharger...

Mike,
Mike, as you already know, I have the MBH headers on my SL63.Can this software be installed on my car when I install the supercharger?

I'm going to try an answer some questions you guys might have. I don't know much about the supercharger, but I'll do my best.
a few months ago. I did the headers and exhaust work on this car. Dyno-Comp did the tuning and install of the exhaust components. The existence of the weistec supercharger was mentioned to the customer at a later time. The owner of this car, didn't need much more to pull the trigger on the weistec kit. He was really all for it when he was told one was available.
This was Dyno-Comp's first weistec kit installed. Infact the first weistec kit they had seen in person. The install was pretty strait forward for a shop thats installed many supercharger systems.
Install took about a day and a half. Dyno-Comp was very impressed at the quality of the kit and the ease of install. Weistec did their homework, thats for sure.
As for boost levels, IDK? I'm sure Rich does. Whatever weistec rates the boost at is pretty much what this car is running. Granted there may or should be a boost drop when mated with headers and things like that. My guess is the car is running slightly under what weistec set the boost at due to the headers.
Some people want to know what the supercharger adds to a 63 as a stand alone mod. Idk that either. Most people who are willing to add a supercharger have already added mods. So it might be a rare find to see a 63 with just a supercharger installed outside of the factory.
Basically a NA modded 63 with headers mids, xpipe and tune get us about 475-480whp on our Dyno Dynamics dyno. With the addition to this kit and included weistec software the gains are about 120whp and 130-140wtq. Considering the baselines 63's get on our dyno. There are now options that can give you a vast range of power. Based on your wants.
You can to the standard mods and gain about 120whp Or you can add a weistec kit and crank out another 120whp on top of that. At this point its like pick your poison. You can go from very mild (tune only) all the way up to 240whp more than stock. Or almost any place in between.
This puts a 63 back in the running for my next car.

I qoute Rich Garcia (owner of Dyno-Comp) "With of 10 years installing Supercharger on just about every model car, The Weistec kit is by far the best they have ever seen" Rich goes on to say... "The fitment is so good it rivals that from the AMG factory" Lastly he adds "The calibration in the tune is so spot on, Usually, new tuning can have some bugs, This is by far the best tuning available for any supercharger manufacture that I've seen for any superchager kit."
You said other are netting about 60whp less? I really don't know. I'm literary on the phone with Rich as I type this. Both of us seem to think the 2" primarys in our headers are playing some roll. Also, I stand a little corrected, and I want to add as much objective data as I can. In hopes other people who are looking into a SC kit for their 63 and benefit from this info. The car had about 5 gallons of 91 octane and 5 gallons of 100 octane making for about 95 octane untuned. Meaning the car was not tuned for the increase in octane. I initially thought I heard the car was running strait 91 octane (summer blend). I'm sorry for what is obviously a mis-communication on my part.
Kind of still, mixing to 95 octane will only add about 10whp. Richard says he will contact weistec for a race fuel tune. As the owner now wants a more aggressive map. I guess absolute power does corrupt. Again to make it clear this was on a 50/50 mix of 91 and 100 octane. On a 91 octane map. I suspect this car to hit the 620whp area on DC's Dyno Dynamics dyno. On a 100 octane with a 100 octane map. With any new supercharger system, fearing knock was the reason to add a little race fuel. Not knowing how good the map was. After seeing the AFR, it is dead nutts at 11.5
Sorry guy I'm really not a great interviewer, but I wanted to get out the exact info. Not only to clarify it for you guys but myself too.
Beast Regards,
-Mike

The number I was referring to is from Weistec results. I believe I understand why the difference in the dyno numbers so no worries.

I just got word tonight, I owner of the car Supercharged CLS63. Ordered up some drag wheels. I told Rich forget waiting for them to get in I got a get he can use. That last comment fell of def ears though.
Its very cool that the customer wants to see what it can do. If and when it happens I shoot some video.
