another resonator delete video
got my resonator removed today and replaced it with a 3 inch x-pipe. I expected much more based on videos that i watched but overall the volume of the exhaust increased marginally and the sound got a bit smoother. I kinda miss the burbly (if that describes it) aspect of the stock exhaust but like the volume of the x-pipe. the noise inside the cabin is a little bit deeper and louder at low rpms but not much different at high rpms.
ill post a better video during the day with acceleration

yeah just got rid of the resonator, was going to go with straight pipes instead of x-pipe but the people at the shop recommended an x-pipe. to be honest i miss the throatiness of the stock exhaust, I'm confused as to why mine sounds so much different from stang's.
this video also makes the exhaust seem much louder than it is really is cuz the camera is right near the tips.

ah my only grief is that i still have 2 years on my warranty and don't wanna really blow it by taking out my cats, well I'm going to have to figure out what i can do, literally bought the x-pipe today and am thinking of getting the resonator put back in tomorrow unless theres another way i can get that throaty sound back

i got a custom 3 inch x pipe fabricated and my car is sounding smoother and more exotic, less like american muscle. i assume that the resonator is what is making the c63 sound so throaty because the x pipe has changed it. i was going to go with straight pipes but the technician insisted the car needed an x

i realllly want to do that, but i have a year and a half left on my warranty so i think I'm going to wait till next year to get that done, i don't want to blow a full warranty for cats, ill wait and get headers and a tune while I'm at it

Unless your service advisor is a real douchebag, you should be fine. I have 2 years left on mine, and talked to them about modifying it, he said they can "work around it" if any problems occur

Honestly....if you're thinking headers and tune, do it now...or don't do anything if you're that concerned about your warranty.

o alright i've bought 3 mercs through them but i live kinda far. just got my resonator delete switched to 3 inch straight pipes, completely solved the problem, my c63 sounds like an animal again only this time noticeably louder than stock. Anyone who is just removing their resonator for sound and volume purposes, go with straight pipes not an X-pipe you will love it.
