Leather repair Sahara beige interior

Dear C63 comunity,

I recently purchased a 2011 C63 AMG in black with Sahare Beige (205) interior.
I read quite some articles about leather painting in the meanwhile, the side bolsters need some touch-up now.
In order to get the correct paint, I need a sample patch.
Can anybody tell me where to cut out a piece inside the car?
Is there a chance to request a sample from MB instead of trying to find a hidden section in the car?
I need to send such a smaple to a manufacturer, so they can match the repair kit.
If there is already a thread about this, I highly appreciate a link.
Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards
A happy C63 owner

I don't understand why you need a sample patch of leather in the first place. Any auto upholstery shop can perfrom the work your requesting. Besides that, your car is still under warranty, why not take it back to Mercedes and let them fix the problem. I have the Obsidian Black with Sahara Biege interior as well, and their is art to getting in and out of these cars, as not to blush up against the bolsters so much. Don't get me wrong the seats are nice and supportive, but dragging your butt across the seats everytime, the leather will start showing signs of wear. I try don't to do that.

Thank you for the reply.
I bought the car used and it shows wear on the driver`s side, I have a special technique to get in and out.
The previous owner obviously didn`t care too much about the leather condition, the door handle shows wear as well.
I know that upholstery shops can perform such work, but I want to do it on my own, I enjoy working on my cars.
I already contacted my MB dealership and the service assistant told me that this is normal wear and won`t be covered under warranty.
I will still try to get a quotation from an upholstery shop if necessary.

Best regards

I had a Bimmer back in the day, and had the same thing happen, although my leather was sand color, just a few shades darker than Sahara. I took it back to the dealer in Honolulu, and they had an upholsterer come out and restain the leather. Not just the arm rest but the whole leather interior, the cars interior looked brand new afterwards. All covered under the free maintainance warranty. I just wished that MB still had their free maintainance warranty But, I definitely understand where your coming from. In your best interest, I would take it to a shop, and have the professionals do the work, as the leather will be color matched. Not saying that you couldn't do it yourself. But say you mess it up even more. You will enjoy the car so much more, knowing professionals handled it. Just my two cents
