Heres the Quote "no pricing was announced for the packages, but we’re guessing if you’re already OK with the C63 AMG Black Series’ MSRP of around $165,000 – a few thousand more for enhanced performance won’t be much."

Way to much $$ for a souped up C series car. Yeah its fast, Yeah its cool, if the true cost of the car is $200K, that is wayyyy toooo much!!, Think about it you can get a C63 (sedan) now for around 65K, so are all the additional add ons and etc worth the extra $135K.....hardly. I'll take the race proven Porsche GT RS 4.0 anyday. The Porsche is not a strapped together add on version of a mom and pop car. MBZ bring the cost around $100K and you may sell a few more of them to the normal middle aged millionaire. Too many really race proven, exotics in that $200K area for this car to compete with (Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc), Again, @ $200K, you have got to be kidding me!!!

two things came to mind. could get a pretty bad *** porsche for that and i could just wait for some used versions to come onto the market for 50,000 less like what happened to the clk bs.
oh well. im still very happy with my current car.

The $165k number is wrong, it was from the EU pricing displayed at the Frankfurt auto show, and directly converted to USD. Those numbers includes all EU taxes.
The US and Canadian MSRP will be closer to $110k.

Good info, Just shows you how rumors get started when the manufacturer is vague about the real cost, especially in USD. Still could get a very nice used 1-2yo Porsche Turbo for that money. Probably come close to a 1-2 yo 550 SL for that money as well (both with better resale value, after initial depreciation). Oh, by the way I just love my 2011 C 300 Sport ($39K)

If you want THE stock track car you only have to shell out 90-100k for a leftover 09-10 Viper ACR and keep the car you have for day to day....Thats what I did...no one can argue with lap records And you will still have change left for mods
