265/30/19 will rub? with OEM 19in wheels.

Hello.

One of local forum members had some rubbing issue with 265/30/19 with OEM 19in wheel.
The tire was Yokohama Advan Sports.
I know they are a bit wider than other brands.

I am planning to get 245/35/19, 265/30/19 Yokohama AD08 for my stock 19in OEMs.
After I hear there are some minor rubbing issue, now I am concerned about AD08 sizing.

Does anyone have any experience running 265/30/19 with OEM 19s?(AD08s or Advan Sports?)
TIA!

I think it depends on how much he has lowered the car too. I am running 20's lowered and I don't rub unless there's 4 people in my car.

Tire size...I don't remember but I think it's 275/25/20 or maybe 275/20/20

Continental, Michellin, Goodyear, Pirelli and Yokohama (specific) tires run ride, 2 of theme being the Advan sport and AD08, you will be fine with the 265's. My buddy is also running 275 Michellin Super Sport on his OEM 19's with no rubbing.

I'm currently running 265 Hankooks, lowered on H&R's with no problem at all. I regret with not going with 275's.

Are you lowered on springs, or are you on stock suspension?

I'm putting 265/30/19 Michelin PSS on 9.5ET45 on tomorrow night. not a C63 but C63 fitment wheels (and same chassis).

I had the 275/30/19 on 19" AMG's before and no issues. Went one tick smaller since the previous set were taller than stock and PSS run wide (combined with 12mm more wheel on the outboard side)

It's funny....every new set I get, I say "this is the last set...they're perfect!". Then, I get bored and find something new.

My wife gives me a hard time....I do this with wheels and cars. I just tell her "at least I don't swap out wives every 18-24mos". Her reply "yeah, you couldn't afford that". ZING!!

not the best pics but quick and dirty for tonight. Car is cleaned up and we're going to Cars and Coffee in the morning where I'll get better daytime pics with the SLR.

Good news is that they fit great with no apparent rubbing so far. I was conservative with the tire sizing just to be careful. It's certainly pretty tight in the rear as these Michelin PSS run 1/2" wide for their size. So, a full 10" of contact patch in the rear despite being only a 265 width tire. From a quick spin around the neighborhood, the car definitely has a TON more grip and sharper turn-in (not surprising given the Conti DWS that were on there).

I've been gone back and forth about doing this and am going to leave it alone. I'm quite happy with the ride/comfort mix and doing springs alone is a crapshoot. I was looking at doing PSS10's but nobody can tell me how to properly do it and keep it from going into limp mode (E550 Coupe has "semi-active handling" package and adjustable shocks).
