Ran at Famoso Raceway...results inside!
So I've been itching to get my car to the dragstrip to see what it can do in current form, and decided to head up to Famoso Raceway on Friday night for their Test n' Tune event. I got there late and was only able to make one pass, essentially having to get into the staging lanes the moment I arrived, with no cooldown.
All things considered, I was quite pleased with the results. I think there is much room for improvement with some drag radials and better DA. The run below reflects the mods listed in my sig, 91 octane Chevron fuel, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (32 psi rear), and no weight reduction (even had my baby seat in the back). I had very limited traction out of the hole, as evidenced by my bad 60 ft, and the +2200 DA didn't help either. I figure with more practice, drag radials, and better DA, the car is capable of 11.4's with the current setup (-0.4 for drag radials, -0.3 for DA).
I can't wait for Mo to set up some track events this Fall!
Let me know what you guys think.

I bet you would've been able to hit 11s had you been able to run a couple of more times.... one time pass is not enough.
Great time and trap especially in August at Famoso

Thanks Mo. I tend to agree with you about hitting 11's with a couple more runs, but wanted to limit my speculations and just acknowledge the actual results. I think I will have plenty more chances come this Fall, and with better DA and drag radials, mid 11's at 122+ mph shouldn't be a problem.

11.5's you will se without a problem with DR's and some good DA,
What will be a challenge it getting under 11.5 without lightweight part especially where u are.
Good luck and keep racing her hard before u hit the strip. Q

My goal for this fall at the same track is 11.3's. Of course ambient conditions will need to be much better, and my setup will have to include drag radials, race fuel, and definitely some weight reduction.
Drag racing sure is addicting, especially with a great platform like the C63!

It'd be nice to get a few C63 guys from the west coast to join us at Famoso and run at the same track on the same day so we can compare results from different setups.

Eric,
When are you testing your MHP tune? As far is your run(the one above) there is tons of margin for improvement. You will easily be in the 11's and your traps should be in the 120mph plus, it is just the matter of time and more runs. Good luck!
By the way, I am eager to find out about your MHP tune.

^^I wish... My local track is *****ty. I am at 3100feet elevation and 100 plus degres and 91oct gas so I am not impressing anyone here. I have been subscribed to your MHP tune thread because I really want to know the results. You already made big numbers with the ACGD tune, I am very curious to see what the MHP does for you..
