Retrofit A/C outlet
Hi All,
So I recently purchased a 2011 C63 AMG (palladium silver) and I'm very pleased with it.
I got a great deal to take the one they had in stock which had the premium pachage but
not the A/C power outlet in the back which I would REALLY like to have had.
I wonder if it is possible to purchase the bits to retro fit this ?
I have searched quite a bit (dealer, google, forums etc.) and I have not found anything.
I'd like to fit it into the same spot as the original.
If all else fails, I can always carry an inverter around but I'd REALLY like to avoid that.
Thank you in advance for any help / tips...

I don't think we ever got that option in the US. I know my car is FULLY loaded and they never gave me the option of having it...personally I wouldn't go through the trouble. Just go faster and roll the windows down...

As I recall my C63 has three A/C outlets, one in the rear compartment, inside the ashtray. One in the front ashtray, as one in the glove compartment. I don't recall one being in the trunk, but I believe their is one. I would need to take a look. Is this what your referring too?

I'm reffering to the one that would be located in the center console in the little flip door next to the cigarette lighter 12v plug facing the 2 REAR passengers.

I think only the c250/350 elegance etc. came with the rear A/C unit control panel not the C63. The C63 never came with rear A/C control panel only the vents.

You should have a cigarette lighter in the front ashtray, a 12VDC 15A outlet in the glove box and a 12VDC 15A outlet in the rear ashtray. There are no AC power outlets in the car. Not sure but I think you will need to wire in an aftermarket inverter if you want AC power.
