Limited Slip Diff importance?

Hey guys,
I'm gona get either the s1 (535 hp) or s2 (590) package from mhp for my soon to be c63. I was wondering how important it will be to have a limited slip diff with this much horsepower to help with traction. Will it make a massive difference?

Yeah I was referring to a straight line, I know it does make a difference in corners.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
Your 2011 E92 has the lsd, if you want it to handle like that car. I would highly recommend having the LSD installed.

I have the Quaife lsd installed in my car. I don't want to have to deal with replacing clutches or the clunky engagements of the clutch based units.

+1. It was the first modification made to my C63. Huge difference even in a straight line.

So I'm VERY interested in this QUAIFE LSD...
I found the quaife UK site. I dont however see any into on it, would you happen to have a link to the product ? You are saying you have this on your C63 AMG right ?

How complexe is it to install ? (time and/or cost)

Thanks

I purchased my quaife unit from ACG. They are a vendor sponsor on this site. If you're worried about the install, you can take a trip down to NYC and have them do it at their shop. Here are the links. http://www.quaife.co.uk/shop/products/qdf9v-0

If you need a good shop in Montreal, call Joron Automobile, they did my OS Giken LSD install and a few other C63s (at least one other one).

Really ?
I had no idea we had a shop here that was specialised in MB...
I spoke to ACG and they seem to be really nice and to know their stuff, plus the prices are reasonable but NYC is quite a ride for me...

If you a driver and like to have fun in closed areas LSD is the sh*t.
With open dif you don't know when it's going to give out fully with LSD u have more control.

If I remember correctly, AMG is 40% and Quaife is 100%.
