Re-Setting the Service indicator alert...Need Help

Hey guys, I have the PDF on resetting the service indicator alert on my 2010 and I have tried it 20 times and its not working. Can anyone give me some help?

Here is what you do from the C Class PDF:

Take out push button and insert key in position 1.
Go to TRIP on menu
Push Phone Answer 1 sec, then push OK together for 5 Secs
The shop menu should come up

But on mine it only asks to RESET the Trip odometer??!!

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks guys...

Takes a few tries. Press phone answer then quickly OK and hold both down until the menu shows up. If the reset comes up click the back button and try again.

Make sure the information display is on Total mileage before you turn the key to position 1. Be careful to follow the steps exactly. It took me a few tries to get the exact order. If you don't it will not work.

Thanks to all who helped....I messed with it and I finally got it!

Do exactly as described, key in position 1 and make sure you see trip with the mileage....those with push start you have to remove the button and place key in, move to one click.

Thank you!

ZephryAMG,

Here you go, for future reference. Just follow these directions for next time, and you'll be fine.
Please share this with others, that may need it.
