2010 C63 Purchase - Need Your Advice

My name is Peter, I've been a member here at MBWORLD for quite a while but have never owned a MB. I am the organizer of TX2K here in Houston (www.tx2k.com) and have owned a good variety of autos over the years. I have owned 2 ISF's, 2 GTR's, 10+ Supra's, Gallardo, M3 and several other cars. I am looking to potentially purchase a 2010 C63 as a daily driver and need your input on a few topics. The car has the following options and has 10k miles on the odometer:

Arctic White Exterior
Black Interior
201 Black AMG Premium Leather
P02 Premium II: Bi-Xenon Headlamps with
105 Roof Spoiler (not sure what that is)
218 Rear View Camera
318 AMG Leather Package
320 Multimedia Package: 7" Power Retract
731 Burl Walnut Wood Trim
889 Keyless Go

1. At what price is this car a good buy?
2. Are the C63's reliable? I plan to do 20k miles/year or more.
3. Are MB dealer's relatively cool with simple mods like a tune only?
4. Is there a new C body style coming anytime soon? The BMW 3-series and Lexus IS series get a facelift for 2013 and I don't want to be in a de-value situation b/c a new body comes out.

Thanks all,
Peter

Yes
1 - you're going to get many wide opinions on this and I dont have one frankly, so, pass
2 - Absolutely, very good experiences here.
3 - All depends on the dealer. Some dealers resell Renntech for example, and you should be fine with them. It all depends on your advisor and the svc manager though...and if they depart and you get a new crew, you expose yourself to the risk of them not being so cool with mods. It's a gamble. Ask your dealer up front. There are as many dealers out there threatening to void warranties as there are saying "hey if the mod doesnt cause the problem, you're fine"
4 - Yes, 2012 facelift. Expect a devalue situation. These cars depreciate rapidly as is, the facelift will be a big blow to current values.

The biggest piece of advice I would have is to get a car with the P31 package if warranty is a top concern of yours and you dont see yourself modding further.

I have driven several C classes, dealer loaners,c63,c63 030 with high miles all of which were very solid cars no rattles etc.The thing I cant get over is you can get an E63 for the same price if not slightly better.Something you might consider.

I'd probably pay 52K for it. I bought my 2010 with similar options and miles 5 months ago for 54K.

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
It has the proper option is can support a price of $50K +or -.
The cars so for have been bullet proof unless pushed reallly hard on the track then the brakes overheat and you go into limp mode.
While some dealer my be cool with ECU mods MBZ Corporate is not. If anything goes wrong related to the ECU (not just the drive train) the MBZ corporate region service manager will deny you warranty claim.
The updated body has been release in both 2 and 4 door versions. (Serch the forum there are many pictures). The changes are cosmetic exterior (and the jury is out on if it is an improvement or just different) and the interior which is considered and definite improvement (no more pop up nav screen). The big news in the wet pack clutch system instead of a torque converter in the 7 speed tranny.
