Will 2011 side markers fit 2012?
I was wondering if anyone knows or can tell from these pictures that the 2011 side markers are the same as the 2012.

I think that 2011 side marker is aftermarket. The stock one would be orange.
Not sure if the 2011 aftermarket ones (clear or smoked) will fit a 2012 but they should be close. I am sure the ads on ebay will soon say if they fit or not and new ones should be out before long if they don't.

That's going to bother me as well.
It looks like it's slightly raised and has some texture to it, so I don't know if you will be able to just "smoke" it with a small piece of vinyl film.
(similar to what you would do with the smoked tail light look)

Hard to tell exactly but here is my 2010 for comparo. I do have smoked lenses and they are a little looser in the bumper than the stock ones were. I have never had a problem with them coming loose. I suppose they could vibrate a little more and tend to wear the paint under them over time.

2012 C63 AMG Sedan(with AMG Performance Package Plus, Premium & Premium Rear Seating Packages)
For only C63 sedans and coupes, the side markers are the same as the ones on pre-facelift C-Class. Same part numbers (20485200121 & 20485200221), checked with the dealer.
