Brisk Sparg Plugs for the M156 from Weistec
I just ordered a set for my car and plan on installing them as soon as they arrive with my next service. I will give you all the feedback. Has anybody else in here tried them?

I got some just last week. They are just slightly shorter than stock but otherwise fit right. Got the silver racing plugs. All good so far! Hard to tell about power increase or mpg, but car feels solid.

thats good to hear. I dont think you gain alot of power with it, but for modified cars, like mine, they help preventing pre-ignition while making more power. looking forward on installing them pretty soon.

New plugs. Correct heat range??
Hey guys, What heat range are you getting on the Brisk Plugs?
I have a few recommendations on the Brisk Plugs if I may:
Stock M156 Heat range 14
ECU tuned M156 Heat range 12
ECU + Headers ++ Mi56 Heat range 10 or 12
Basic rule of thumb is higher the HP lower you Heat range:
Chart for Reference:
HEAT RANGE COLD HOT
BRISK 8 10 12 14 15 17
NGK 10 9 8 7 6 5
DENSO 31 27 24 22 20 16
\Hope this is of some value>>>

I guess I would have to ask Weistec what heat range spark plugs they have sent me. According to your list, I should get the range 10 for my Brisk spark plugs.
Thanks for the useful info.
P.S> I think there is a method for switching your range on the spark plugs, Weistec sent me an E-mail about it, I will check it and come back to you.

I got this instruction straight from Weistec:
"
Failure to properly gap spark plugs will cause misfiring or pre-ignition. Please follow instruction carefully and use best mechanical judgment.
5. Gap new spark plugs to .032"-.038" depending on power Level.
• Stage 1 .038"
• Stage 2 .035"
• Stage 3+ .032"
6. Reinstall spark plugs, coils, and air boxes. Be sure to plug all wiring in. "

not extremely relevant to this make of car, but, we swapped a new set of NGK iridiums for a set of Brisk Silvers on my old MINI and it allowed us to consistenly make 10hp more. We couldn't get reliable power beyond 231whp with the NGKs no matter what gap we tried.
Swapping to Brisk and 239-241whp was safe all day long on 93octane. Settled for a conservative tune to account for 91 octane and 239whp was the result (no functional difference in 2whp so the ability to be "real world safe" was more important).

even, predictable spark. I mean, what else does a plug do?? I think it just raises the bar to a point that a capable tuner can take advantage of. It doesn't make power on its own....just allows the plug not to be the weakest link in the chain.

My math may be off here but with those gains are we saying with another "standard" spark plug there are +/- 10% unburned gasses headed out the tailpipe?

should correct my statement....thought we used Brisk Racing Silver, but they were quad contact...."LGS" is what they have listed that looks like what we used. My tuner brought a case with him as backup....we swapped them in, tuned a bit and I decided to buy a set since we weren't getting predictable results from the NGK's I had tracked down and gapped myself (to his specs).
