Chirping noise.
So I walk in the a garage turn on my car and suddenly I hear this chirping noise coming from the engine. I had my windows down so I noticed something sounds weird right away. Anyone got an idea what could be this? The noise is coming somewhere from where the belt, and the fan is located... I am taking the car to the service tomorrow, hopefully it isn't a big deal...

It does go away, but then it comes back, and I have this feeling that there is something wrong... I guess ll have to wait and see what the dealer says.

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
So I got my car back from the dealer and I was told that my serpentine belt was worn off due to a bad belt tensioners and pulley. I dont really think this should happen so soon as I have 70.000km on the odometer. Anyways everything was changed and the car runs like new again

Had the same chirping noise just start a week ago.
Went to the dealer and picked up an idler pulley and guide pulley for like 60$ each. Changed them out and chirp gone.
I think it really was just the idler pulley. That item has issues so much that MB had a Service Campaign for them.
I'd change those first before even going to the dealer about the belt tensioner.
