Eurocharge V3 TUNE = 540HP??
Any running this tune? They are claiming 540HP.
Id like to hear from guys running this version from stock and guys who have switched from another tune to this version...
Thanks.

They are claiming crank HP.
Wheel HP is what counts, plus there are a few variables.
Since these engines are hand built they will yeild different hp. Plus the main way to know how a tune performs is to do some real world testing (ie track time, 1/4 mile, 60-130 runs etc...)

To reach those numbers with just a tune, the tune is on the aggressive side, but that's all good as long as you're running the right octane.

I don't see what the difference is by quoting crank or wheel HP. They are both relative to each other, as one changes the other will change in exactly the same manner... So quoting crank or wHP doesn't really matter at all..
Its a simple conversion of the loss of energy from the transmission.
Bump for anyone running this tune please. Im more into people with experience with it.

I have this updated tune on 93 oct. I have yet to get a dyno, but it sure does pull like an hooker on a timeclock..
Id like to do some pulls with another tune only car, but haven't had the time.
Stock Baseline – 332.4 WHP
Eurocharged V3 Tune (100% Stock) – 397.3 WHP
Stock + Charcoal Delete – 336.8 WHP
Stock + CD + K&N Filters – 341.2 WHP
Eurocharged V3 Tune (CD + K&N) – 408.3 WHP
Peak gains (with charcoal delete and K&N filters) – 75.9 WHP
Highest gains (with charcoal delete and K&N filters) – 86 WHP / 67 WTRQ @ 6800 RPM!!
Peak Gains (Stock) – 64.9 WHP

Torque * RPM
Horsepower = ------------
5252
I have yet to see a Dyno chart for the V3 but im sure 540 crank HP is possible. That would equate to roughly 440+ whp. My OE dyno max pull was 447 whp tune only.
All about variables though. Temp, Dyno used, Fan setup, humudity, Gas... ect

I've got this tune but my ECU is in a box on it's way back to me as we speak and scheduled for delivery to me today...
I plan to do a little write up on my impressions in the next few days. I will say that they were very nice and helpful to this point and got my ECU reprogrammed and re shipped the same day they received it.
I'll keep you posted. (post a link here).
I will say this, I have been researching tunes for some time and since this is a "highly debated" subject, it's always difficult to get a general consensus in any thread about the ECU subject. It seems that most tuning shops offer what "I feel" is a comparable gain (give or take a "few" HP. What is hard to understand however is the asking price for some of these... I found that Eurocharged had a more than fair price compared to others (least expensive that I could find) AND, on top of that, a great reputation for service and results so I chose to go with them for my tune.
Just to be clear: They are in Texas, USA and I'm in Montreal Canada. I knew nothing about them til last week when I stumbles onto a thread about the tune and then investigated their offerings so I have ZERO bias or preference to anyone.

More Eurocharged Montreal C63's eh? You should come out to ICAR in Mirabel tomorrow evening.
540 crank horsepower makes sense to me. Logic as follows
451 stock crank horsepower
540 tuned crank horsepower
89 incremental crank horsepower
-18% drivetrain loss
73 incremental wheel horsepower
Probably a little on the high side, but not outside reason.

I don't have an LSD, and it hasn't seemed to hurt me too badly.

When I first got the tune, I went to my local track (E-town) but I only got 2 runs in because it was rowded...power/torque is substantially increased (because I had pretty much gotten my launch down pat from doing 20 runs the week prior at a private rental) and I was spinning well into third gear.
One thing to note is that my best ET on that day (only 2 runs) was 13.1 with trap of 114. When I was stock and learning how to launch the car, I was avging 13.1's @ 111...after many tries I got my stock best ET down to 12.7 @ 113.8 (not adjusted.)
Based on my trap alone, I think I can probably get my ET a couple tenths lower if I can just perfect the launch.

Based on my trap alone, I think I can probably get my ET a couple tenths lower if I can just perfect the launch.

Get yourself a set of DR's and you will see much better times.
Dyno dyno... its all about the track. I hope more V3 guys get some track data out there soon.

I got used to my car when it had the eurocharged v1 tune, so I can't compare it to stock. But compared to the v1, the v3 is a lot more responsive, feels like it shifts faster and revs higher, and definitely pulls harder.

So I just poped my freshly upgraded eurocharged v3 ECU into my car and I can immediately see the difference. It's raining alot here today so I can't push the 1-2-3 gears or it slips but I can easily tell that the low rpm torque have dramatically improved and even in the rain, I can tell that the car just plain FEELS more agressive and powerful... ME LIKES !
Will get into more detail as the days go by and I get a chance to drive it on dry pavement.

I may be wrong but I asked Adam from eurocharged what the new rev limit was and his answer was "It raises it to 6600rpm".
I never actually noticed what it was stock but this 6600 rpm comes straight from Adam, unless he mistyped it. Maybe he meant 7600...
