Will they rub?
Hey guys, I'm looking at a set of wheels and just wondering if I'll be able to stuff these into the tight rear fenders, hopefully you guys can help me out.
First of all the car will not be lowered so that should give me some space. Second the wheels I'm looking at are pretty flat faced and caliper friendly. BUT... they've got quite a low offset.
Specs are:
Front - 19x8.5 et38 tires will be 235/35/19
Rears - 19x9.5 et40 tires will be hopefully 275/30/19 if not, 265/30/19
Would rather not roll/pull fenders.
Has anyone run a setup like this, or anything similar, say a 10" wide wheel with a mid 40's offset? 10.5" with a low 50's offset?
Thanks in advance guys

They will most likely rub, especially with a 275. You may be able to pull it off with stock suspension. I ran a 19x9.5 rear with ET40, 265/30/19 and it rubbed, but my car is pretty low.
Rear offset should be around 50 on a 19x9.5.
Rear offset should be around 50 on a 19x9.5.

Anyone at stock height running an aggressive setup that can chime in?

Many Pictures of aftermarket Tires and Wheels are posted in the Aftermarket Wheel Thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...el-thread.html

Like obsidian said, u will rub with +40 in the rear.. U will need at least +45 with 9.5 rim.. Unless u go stretch tires like 245/30/19.. But it will look goofy without a drop. Our cars has a weak offset with weaker rear fenders.

I know you guys said those specs wouldn't fit but I was searching through some old threads today (don't know how I missed it earlier) and stumbled upon this; https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...erturismo.html
These are quite literally the exact wheels I had in mind, same specs, 9.5 et40 and he even squeezed that 275 tire in the rear. PM'ed him so I'm hoping he gets back to me and tells me they don't rub.

You're going to poke a little with those wheels. If you stay at stock height, and don't drive aggresively, you may be able to pull it off. However, that goes against car guy rule #1, "never put aftermarket rims on your car without lowering it."
Either way, it sounds like you're going to do it, so atleast start with 265's. If they don't rub, go 275's next time, and if they do, go 255's.

Thanks for the compliments.
I did have the OEM 19's which I powder coatd matt black before selling.
Went for OZ because of weight saving.
The front with exact same tyres are 350g lighter (245/35/19)
The rears are 1.15kg lighter (275/30/19).
Will double check offests and post shortly.
I did have to remove my Eibach rear springs and put back the original P30
springs beacuse of wheel catching on rear fender.
It looks like the OP is ok at stock height, but rubbed when lowered. You might not want to drop it now (like what I said few months ago)... but once you have aftermarket wheels, the temptation for a drop is constant... hahaha!
