Will C300 AMG wheels fit?

Wondering if the 17" AMG C300 wheels will fit over the brakes of the C63 for winter tires use.

Doubt they will fit on the front.

I thought that the optional AMG wheels are 18" anyways. I think you should be OK.

The answer is definite NO, 17" wheels will not fit on the C63. The minimal size needed is the stock 18" or larger. The issue is the 17" wheels don't have the necessary inner wheel clearance needed to clear the rotors & calipers. Besides that, the spokes will hit the calipers, when you try to put it on.

Not true.

Not sure on the C300 wheel but you can get 17's to fit a C63.

I disagree with you on this one.

I know I have seen a few C63's at the strip running 17" rims. As far as the modifications to the break system to get it done im not sure. Maybe nothing.

Okay, I have more information now. You can run 17" wheels and tires (drag radials) on the rear only, as the rotors and calipers are smaller, and require less clearance. But, I know for a fact that you can't run 17" on the front, due to the huge rotors and calipers require alot of inner wheel clearance, that 17" wheels don't provide, ie. Inner barrel.

I'm glad that we've come to a mutual agreement on this point.

Indeed.

The question still stands though. Can a C300 17" full spare rim fit on the C63. Im curious about the weight. I might just pickup a set and throw some DR's on them.

Anything can fit. You'd just need to run a 10cm spacer and some serious lug bolts, and positive camber, and not corner hard, and be ok with looking ridiculous.

At the track who cares.

Run 16" and have a spare rear available!

I don't have the C63 yest so I can't test the fit.

I'd like to confirm to see if my spare C300 winter rims will fit.

I guess the right 16" will fit the rear. See post #4

Looks like Pit-Pony will have to wait and see on the C300 17" wheels.
