C63 AMG modified to RENNTECH C74
I've got a question -- I'm contemplating lowering my car to give it more aggressive look. However, I'm worried it will change the way the car drives, as well as making it less practical... or potentially hazardous. I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks.

Here is how MB measures track width (and I choose to believe them)
Now I don't have figures for the offset and OEM axle/hub mods on a C63 because I'm way too lazy to STFF; but the std C63 is at the most 1" wider than the displayed 61" (F) / 61.1" (R) on the std W204.
Looking at that pic again it gives a front width of 69.7".
Now giving credit for about 3" each (to be verified) on the fender flares equates to a total of 75.7" (F). Tires are inside the flares. Adding a 0.1" (R) differential based on MB displayed width equals to 75.8" (R).
Now look at the fact that Renntech claims 315 sized tires will fit and the OP is running 305 sized tires; 305 mm = 12". The tires in the OPs pictures DO NOT stick out passed the fender flares.
Giving the benefit of the doubt and taking the overall estimated width (with Renntech fender flares) and using MB defined track width guidelines (after all Renntech is a recognized MB tuner and never would cheat on numbers ) there is absolutely no way that the track width is 74".

So what happens when you put wider tires, like 11'' rims, and then have 2 heavy people in the back of your car or say 3?? Does the original fender hit the tire from the top, eventually hurting both the body and tire?
Will I have to shave off or cut the original fender if I want wider fenders molded or glued on and wanted wider tires?

Yes, please upload the manual. I heard that the exhaust tips are attached to the Rear Diffuser. Is that true? Did you cut your AMG tips? This is your car right? http://news.renntechmercedes.com/201...ermarket-show/
Hope these give you better ideas on the mod.

Yea bro it would really be appreciated if you were able to upload the manual and shed some insight about the fender modification..
ALSO, are the 4 exhausts all connected? Or is it just a cosmetic mod? And since they are stuck to the carbon fiber, can the heat cause the diffuser to melt a bit? I know my friend who had an Audi S5 with a custom diffuser faced that issue 2 days after installing it..
Thanks,
Nayef

Aside from the usual improvement from getting wider tires, no. I have not had the chance to drive it at higher speeds -- Beijing's traffic pretty much turns any cars into stationary show piece. You have no idea how much I miss the roads in the States...
