Air Box Refreshment-Locations and Details
I have supplied some pics. Can you guys refresh my memory on removing the air filters?:
1. Did you remove the sensor plug to get to the air box, and if so, where do you detach it at? Location 1 or 2 or 3? How do I get the darn thing off??!!
2. I have labeled all the screws for removing the airbox, If I remember, #5 is underneath the front plate, right?
3. Did you guys loosen the air tube screw that leads from the airbox to the engine, or just leave alone when replacing the airfilter?
4. Can someone please identify the area where the clips are located for the front air shield? Where abouts are they and how do you take it off with out breaking it?
I had a buddy of mine do it for my '09 and I sort of watched yet forgot a lot of it...Please feel free to mark up the pics and reattach. Thanks a lot guys in advance...!

Cmon bro. Pull up on the V do it at one corner at a time you will hear a click/pop. you will see the 5 bolts to unscrew.
Maf sensor comes off at position 2 just slide off those metal clips. Yes loosen tube to remove for easier access and to get a seal afterward.
Like unscrewing a light bulb. To remove screw turn counterclockwise.
Child please.

Hint - take a Q-tip and dab a little anti-seize paste on the clips before you pop the cover back on. It'll be much easier to take off the next time...very easy to crack the cover on the first try.

First the clips. One is located close to where the Mercedes Benz star is. Start with that one. 2 more clips on each side located close to the air boxes. Once the front shield is off, you'll see the screws for the air box. For just changing the filters, you don't have to disconnect the MAF's or loosen the clamps to the rubber intake. It will be a little tighter, but it's manageable. Just make sure when you put the tops back on that they sit tight, otherwise check engine light will come on. Once the old filters are out, I recommend vacuuming all the dead flies, bees, sand and whatever else is at the bottom of the air boxes before putting in the new ones.

Changed out air filters with K and N. They came pre-greased.
Surprised though to only find one charcoal filter in the passenger side air box. Not one on drivers side??? Anybody else or know why?
Also removing the front piece was a B**CH. NO CEL first day driving. But I am going to leave off that piece for a week or so and see what happens. I got everything back very secure and I am pretty sure it all fit together good with no issues.
