POWDER COATING RIMS IN HOUSTON

Looking at getting my rims powdercoated for around or under 500 bucks. Does anyone have any reccomendations for a bodyshop that could do the whole job in house (dismounting tire, powdercoating, re mounting, re installing etc.) in the Houston area, preferably Southwest Houston,

Am i crazy to think this could be done for $500.

not crazy at all, I used to know a place that powder coated wheels for $400 in L.A.
Ive heard of various other places that charge $150-$200 per wheel.

Any specific color your thinking about?

Both look similar, satin has more of a slight gloss to it.
Cant go wrong with either one.

I've used these guys in the past. I have dropped my car off with them, but they are way north houston. They may also allow you to drop the car off @ one of the dealerships they are at and keep your car on stands, not ideal but I have done this with them before.

Yeah they're mine. Don't do matte - satin looks much cleaner

those look great i think satin is the way to go now as well, would i be right in thinking the paint will be more durable then the matte as well? in terms of easier to take care of and wash and blemishes and such

I've used Wheels America multiple times here in Dallas and they have a Houston location. I've used them both for repair from our horrible downtown roads as well as to powdercoat my HRE's black when I had my 911 Turbo. Their work is impeccable and is only $129 per wheel, including any repairs that need to be done. Chrome work is extra and tire removal/remounting is extra.

They also contract with a ton of dealerships, so if you have a good relationship there you can have your dealer put your car on the lift for just the night. They pick the wheels up in the evening and drop them back to the dealer in the morning.

Check this guy out, he post on a local Houston forum and it looks like he does really good work. Very reasonable prices. Should be less than $500 for the whole set and he strips the wheels as well.

You should check out EVS Motors. They are located on Bellaire and Cook. They installed my diffuser and lip and they do a lot everything for high end cars. I choose EVS over Motorwerks because unlike Motorwerks, EVS are actually friendly and customer service orientated.

The owner is Ted Nguyen, tell him Mike w/ the black C63 refereed you and hopefully you can get the deal you want.

A few times I had them refinish my wheels, and then three times I used them to powder coat my rims from silver ->gunmetal->black->hyper silver.

Do you know if this company do chroming? I need to re-chrome one of my lip on my 3 pcs... most quote I got was from 200-300$ for one small lip. *ouch* ... so I ended buying a new one, but would like to refinish my old one to keep as a spare.

I am not sure, to be honest i want to and i am looking at some but i still am unsure of what color to get, for now powdercoating my rims will be a cheap alternative and help me decide if i like all black wheels on my car or not. And then down the road if i decide i want to go aftermarket, then i have nothing lost but a few hundred bucks

What was the outcome on this? Where did you get done and for how much? I am thinking about having this done as my rims could use a little TLC,
