iPod Multi touch Nano: Does it charge?

iPod Multi touch Nano: Does it charge?
Any body have the the new iPod Nano Multi touch in their car? Does the car charge it when it's plugged into the jack in the glove box?

I have the older iPod nano gen 1 and it charges perfectly.

Both my Ipod touch (latest generation) and 5th Generation Nano charge...haven't tried my other Nano (6th generation)...

Some said to replace the existing cable with a new updated one from the dealer. I just bought a Scosche adapter for $14 on eBay.

Multi touch Nano does NOT charge on the 09 cars. Apple changed the volts needed to charge, or something like that. There is an updated cable, or there is the Scosche adaptor.

I have 3 ipods. Two are the black ones posted above, and work great. The other is the Multi Touch Nano, and it doesnt charge, and dies quite quickly.

Yep you are right thank you. Those with the older gen 1 nano ipods hold on to them! They work and charge with no adapters needed...

In the 2012 i know that even the iphone charges, so i'd think yes.
