C63 BS. Need Help
Got a call from dealer. Have to go in and finalize purchase. All in cost will be around $125,000. Seems like allot for this car. Other nice rides available in this price range. I need help getting my head around this price and executing the deal.

Sounds good to me but i live in finland, so that's under the base price for a regular C63 over here :P But in US pricing it seems pretty steep and i'm not sure if the benefits are worth the cost. Nice car though..but so is the regular C63.

^^ black series only come in coupe.
In my opinion, price all depends on u... Are u willing to spend that much for an exclusive car in Canada? If yes, then go for it cuz the new black is amazing.. If not, buy the regular C63, you will be as happy cuz ur wallet will thank you.

Shegalman, I too at first balked at the price, then I realized this is an exclusive car, built for one year only. So I went to my local porsche dealer and priced out the brand new 911S for 2012, the redesigned one. It starts at 110K, then I built it with the same options as the Black would come with, carbon interior, Nav, Premium, etc etc....price reached 145K before tax, come on, that is absolute nonsense. SO then I went to the local Jaguar dealer and priced a 2012 Jaguar XKR, again, price started at around 110K and then reached about 119K, with Jaguars reputation of terrible service and relialbility, I would remain a MB customer given the multilpe MB cars in our family and the rapport I have with our dealer. SO I am extremely excited about this car, I am sure the performance figures of this car when released will be in par with a SLS, hence why AMG now is coming out with a SLS Black.

The BS cannot be built yet on the MB site, the official MSRP should be out anytime as build dates are starting to be confimed.

I too have an issue with the price. At that level in the US you can get a GTR that will destroy, yes you heard me destroy the BS performance wise and you will have enough money to buy a Mini Cooper S convertible...
Regarding the other cars that 1stAMG mentions, I agree with him that retail is higher for the Jag or the P car but the difference is that you can negotiate pricing. For example, the local dealer here was willing to take about 25K off a loaded Turbo bringing it to 125K.
If you want a bigger exclusivity and performance is not your only goal, the Vantage is not selling like hot cake and you can get one in the US for about 125K as well. That car is pure S_x on wheels and the engine sound is even more glorious.
It really comes down to what you are looking for in a car.

I don't care if the GTR beats the BS ( yet , I still don't think it will DESTROY it on a track ). I just can't see myself investing 100k USD in a playstation car with cheap interior , sh*t tranny , cheap look and ultra sh*t warranty......

It's a limited run, super exclusive black series, how much did you think it was going to cost?
Once you get over the sticker shock, and the beast is sitting in your garage I doubt you are going to be thinking, "sh^t, I wish I had a GTR made out of plastic instead"
No, you are going to wake up with a broner for the car every morning knowing you will likely never see another one of them on the street.
Pull the trigger and don't look back!

C63 Coupe Edition 1
I think it depends on what you want the car for. if you want an exclusice C63 Coupe that stands out, the Edition 1 is a $40k cheaper way to get that. if you want the best track ready C63 money can buy (straight from the factory), then by all means get the BS and post some videos of your laps!

lol if you pass they'll probably call me...
I'd pass too at 125k. I was told closer to 100k by two different sales people when I asked to get on the list just recently. 125k is quite a premium over a P31 C63.

It's nice but that is a huge premium over the standard P031 C63 to justify. I'll wait for the hype to die down and grab one. There are so many nice cars in that price range. I know I'll get flamed for this but don't really care. I drove the new CTSV yesterday and was super impressed with it. that will be my new ride until the prices drop on the BS. As the horrible economy takes a hold I prefer to buy sensibly instead of with my passion. Exclusivity is great but at what cost does it become ridiculous. If $ is no issue then grab one for sure. Only you can decide what is best for you. My recommendation is drive all the fine cars in that price range and see what feels best. So much depends on what your plans are for the car... Best wishes and enjoy whichever you choice in good health.

This is great feedback guys. My other worry is that all other Black Series before this one came out at a pretty high price and then within a year were trading at significantly less.

buy a used low milage c63 . throw in some suspension work , carbon goodies , widebody for the rear , wheels and tires to match the widebody , whatever exhaust you like , tune , headers and mids and last but not least , Weistec supercharger . you will have an absolute monster on your hands that will run circles around the BS . everyone talks about having an exclusive car by buying the BS but having a car custom built to your specs is the most exclusive i could think of . i'm not knocking the BS cuz it looks amazing but the pricetag is what gets me
you could build the car to the specs i mentioned and not even be close to $100k . i have a done a lot of work to my C63 and the Weistec is my next step . actually , widening the rear is next and then the Weistec . i figure with the price i got my car brand new and all the work , when complete , i will have hit the $100k mark and that's only because i bought the car brand new
