CPO Doesn't Mean You Have a 100K Mile Warranty
I bought a CPO C63 a month ago and stressed over it being a CPO car because I needed it to have the 100K warranty. So today I'm reading posts about how the CPO cars may not automatically get the warranty. I've called my local dealer to run the VIN and see. It'll be a bit before I hear back. The dealer I bought it from is 4 hours away from me. What recourse do I have if they duped me into thinking a CPO car = a 100K warranty car?

I think most CPO cars are, but they also have a limit in time, like 1 or 2 years. So you might hit the one or two years well before you hit 100K depending on how many miles the car has when you buy it.
You won't have any recourse as the CPO terms and conditions are typically provided to you upon purchase. Unless you can prove in writing or verbally they told you it expires at 100K miles without limitation to how long you own it.
Technically they are correct in saying it will last to 100K miles, but that's not the ONLY expiration parameter.

Bruce-thanks. I read another post on here that said that not all CPO cars had the extended warranty and I about crapped myself. So I dug around and it seems that all CPO cars do have the 1+ year extension or to 100K mile warranty. So my blood pressure is coming down rapidly!

Correct, I just checked on that as well because I took my car in to get a few things checked and to replace the light switch.
I have an 09, the time based warranty expires for me in 2013 or 50k miles (I just hit 51k miles on the clock), the CPO warranty extends that to 2014 or 100k miles (but it is not the same as the bumper to bumper warranty, it is a limited warranty that covers pretty much anything required for the car to be safe to drive... ie if your radio explodes.. that I believe is not covered under the CPO extended warranty)....

CPO warranty covers everything but wear and tear items...
IE covers radio, electronics, drivetrain (engine and tranny), suspension components, widow regulators, switches and anything that fails..
Won't cover brake wear, tires, wiper blades, worn seat covers, light bulbs, etc...
And there are always two variables that determine whether the warranty is in force, just like the new car warranty - term, and mileage.
Hope this clears up any confusion and re-instills some faith in the product offering.

CPO warranties will cover LED bulbs. Had my 3rd brake light repaired under cpo at no cost to me. Incandescent bulbs, you're on your own.
It will not cover interior trim. All of the trim around my rear seat tracks had fallen apart and I had a nice sized crack on the plastic trim on the underside of the trunk lid. None of this stuff was covered.
