Correct size of the optional AMG 19" Multispoke Rims

Sorry for another rim / tire size thread. I know there are plenty but my query is different.

I'm tracking down a set of the AMG 'Style V' 19" multispoke rims which are an option on most C63's.

Any shop or dealer that sells them specifies 19x8 & 19x9 size rims, and of course want an arm & a leg.

However, I have found quite a few sets second hand in Japan, which I can get with rubber for much less. However all these sets are all 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 with 255 fronts & 275 rears. Given there are at least 4-5 sets for sale all with the same rubber & rim width, I assume these where offered in Japan as either stock or optional rims on other models. The ads (while in Japanese) seem to state S63 or CLS63 cars the rims came off.

So, if you paid the 6k option and got these rims and they are 8 and 9" wide with 225 & 255 rubber, is there going to be an issue if I get the 8.5 & 9.5" rims with wider rubber?

Also, all these slightly wider rims list +43 as the offset, however others have suggested here that the stock 18" rims have differnet offsets.

Hopefully some wheel / tire guru's can help out, it will be much cheaper getting a second hand set from Japan (for me as an Aussie).

Thanks in advance

First, are you certain they are OEM and not replicas? Second, you may rub with a 9.5 rear with a 43 offset. Stock wheels are 45 front and 54 rear offset.

They might look the same, but they are for different applications/cars (SL or CLS).

I would just buy the right size even if it cost a bit more to save urself the headaches.

Many members have ordered from this company, as far as I know they are very reputable. If you do a search you will find out who the other members are.....http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mer...poke_wheel_454

I believe they are genuine:

I do understand they are from a different car, but others here run 10" wide rims without issue, so I figured somebody who knows more about rim fitment, width & offset than I do might know for sure if they will cause issues.

Yep seen them and while happy to order these if I have to, the S63 rims second hand with new rubber can be had for around 3k, less if you get ones with minor marks. Brand new, they are much more.

Thanks for everybody's feedback thus far

I'm one of the person who runs 19x10 in the rear with 275/30/19 in the rear, and I dont rub but it's a tight fit. My offset is around +53mm though.

So if the rims you are looking at are 19x9.5 +43mm with 275 tires, I would say you will rub un less u change tires & run stretch.

edit: from the pics you posted, the tires shows 275/40/18 or 19? If 19's then it's too tall.

@Roswell: Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it

This shows my lack of understanding with rim / offset.

The rubber on the rims is 19"

Ur welcome, our car needs high offset in the rear unfortunately... And to pull 275 or 285 tires w/o rubbing, u really need to be right on with ur offset cuz it's tight fit.. That's why my rims are custom offset made for our cars. Good luck in ur search!

Damn....you will be making a mistake, those wheels even though they look the same, they are not the OEM for the C63, for more money you will have the real deal. The offsets will make a difference.
