couple of months? When is your build date as the earliest I have heard was late Feb with delivery mid-late March. My delivery is not until end of April early May.

I got a early January Build date. The AMG Liaison here in Toronto sent my Configuration codes 09/19/2011

Cool....that is what I heard. Not sure you will want to drive on Ottawa streets in March though...salt will just kill it but all the loose sand left over from the winter would be make power-slides easy

hehhe, well couple of months for me is May, maybe June=)) I am still waiting for my dealer to get exact information about estimated delivery. I just talked to him today and I was told that he is waiting for this lady that is in Germany right now to email him the informaton. But his guess is that sometime late in May, I should be driving it=))) I m so excited about this car, really its almost too much=)

Oh and the options are:
Track and Aero Pack,
Matte black,
4 seats,
performance media
carbon pack
camera, surround system, keyless go, heated seats, lighting system and hell I know there might be something more as well=))

Great. I would push your dealer as Monday was offical sale day and if your order is confirmed you should have got a letter from AMG confirming your order and specs. I have attached cover page of my confirmed order and there are three pages with options and pricing. The car is sold out already so make sure your dealer has his allocation and confirmation from AMG. The dealer here in Prague said they would do order for me and yet they have no info.

So are you saying that if I havent received my order confirmation yet, that I am basically screwed and that my dealer F.... me up?? I mean actually i dont care really, hes gonna have to get me the car, in anyway he knows it, because I have been talking to him about this for over a month now.

I don't want to say that but considering there were 150 cars for Germany and 500 customers who pre-ordered and put forth deposits as existing AMG owners, demand vastly exceeded supply. If you dealer placed the order and it was accepted by AMG they should have a confirmation letter. Most orders were processed for dealers with AMG Performance centers or who have history of large AMG sales volumes. As example, the dealership here in Prague who have a Performance center said they could process order for me yet I had more info than them. They said they would send me final quote on Monday and here are Wednesday and have not heard a word from them so doubt they could get car as CZ only had very limited allocations (3 at most I think). Just push the dealer for confirmation that your order has been accepted and processed to be sure.

Now you got me scared=)) LOL if the order wasnt confirmed then I am screwed right? I mean then there is no way I will be able to get the car right? Or is there any possibility for me to get it?

I am not sure if you are screwed or not. Usually there are allocations based on country/sub-regions so there might be slots still open but I am no expert on how AMG processes orders etc. AMG has strict policy of dealers not selling out of country here in Europe so hopefully your dealer has the order, or if you have an alternative address in another country that might be another way. Just push the dealer for confirmed order. Here is how scary it was in Germany....the car sold out in 3 hours....that is how long it takes to process 150 orders....was like a hot ticket at the biggest rock concert around. Simply nuts!

Barry, you are getting yours before me!!! My dealer told me yesterday that my build date is early March, so by end of April or sooner I should be driving loudly down Ottawa streets.....Dave, looks like are cars are March babies, much like myself.

I have an address in Montenegro and I happen to know few politicians there, so I guess they will make one BS for Montenegro if they order it=) Might be an option seriously if something goes wrong with my dealership in Slovenia=) I know there wont be another person over there that will order it for Montenegro.

Did you get update from your dealer? I see by your sig that you put Barcelona as place you live as well? Maybe check with Spanish dealers as they are larger market and might have allocations as well. If all fails drop me a PM as I might have another solution.

I will PM you now. But otherwise I am amazed at how helpful you are. I remember even when I totaled my car you offered yourself to get the parts for me for a very good price. Not many people that I met are like you . Actually its rare that someone like you comes across my life. Maybe some people would think I am exaggerating but I really think you must be a very good person=)lol. Anyways I just want to thank you, and let you know that I really appreciate the value of a person like yourself. I wish you all the best=)

P.S and ye as for the Barcelona, I used to live there when I was going to high school.. Its been over 3 years since I left Spain. I miss it though a lot=) My favorite city in the world. Barcelona is just wonderful, the climate, food, people, everything suits my life style=)

=) Ye I agree, its my favorite country in Europe as well. I love Spain. When I used to live there I lived right next door to Ronaldinho=) Every week I would see him wasted bringing at least couple girls to his house. Damn it he was so ugly, yet he banged so many hot girls=)) Lol
