2012 c63 amg or 2011 c63 amg need input
Hey guys im new around here and im looking to get some friendly advice from c63 amg owners. Im currently looking to trade my 2011 q7 tdi for a merc c63amg. One dealer in dallas is trading me even for my 2011 q7 tdi for a 2011 c63 amg with leather package, nav, carbon fiber trim, and reverse camera they have this car listed for 60k and it only has 8.5k miles. I purchased my q7 tdi 8 months ago for a really good price so i have a lot of room to play with. I also payed cash for it so i talked to the dealer about doing a straight trade and they agreed. Now my main question is should i trade it straight off for a c63 amg considering sticker price on my q7 was 69k and i would not have to worry about paying extra or should i purchase a brand new 2012 c63 amg sedan with the new tranny and pay the difference. If i purchase the 2011 i would have the car payed off but if i purchase a 2012 i would have to chip in some cash.
How much better is the 2012 c63 amg vs the 2011 c63 amg?? Is it worth paying the extra money???

The 2012 has the updated interior which looks a lot like the e class interior and is far more luxurious than the 2011.
The exterior is also updated and looks sharper.
But the interior should be the deal-breaker.

You seem to be in a situation where the additional cost of a 2012 is very much bearable. Given that I would certainly go with the newer model and not be second guessing the decision down the road. The enhancements seem to be worth the cost and resale on a 2012 will beat the 2011 when it's time for something new.

It is bearable but i have my doubts since i could just drop 10k in mods and beat the crap out of a 2012 I like modding my last two modded cars included a 650whp GT-R and a 500WHP evo x I forgot to mention i like modding thats another reason im leaning towards the 2011......

I haven't driven a 2011 but have spent time with the 2012 on a track and it is a very capable car. I believe there were suspension upgrades in 2012. Also, the interior is beautiful and, IMO, a very significant step up. Lastly, as mentioned, the MCT transmission would be a must have for me too... it isn't as good as a true DCT but close and if the older tranny didn't perform as well, it would be a problem in my mind.
Spring for the 2012 if it is doable!

I like the exterior of the 2011 better but I like the interior of the 2012 better. The MCT transmission seems an improvement but the old Auto is getting the job done as well and boths cars are equally fast. I noticed though that the Coupe 2012 got some better acceleration numbers than the older sedans but it also weights less.
I wouldn't mind a older model. Is your choice though..

If you're going to get a 2012 get the P31 package and LSD which should really work well with the new MCT tranny. If you're not going to get those options, save a bunch a money and get a 2011.

Picked up a 2011 with very low miles 6k to be exact. Thought it was a better option since i plan on doing some stuff to it later on. Got the price down to 58.5k for a 2011 with a clean history report and one owner that could not make payments sounds good to me!!! Can you guys give me a opinion on what i paid for it and the options it has???

Hey how do you feel your m3 handles compared to a c63?? I used to have a e90 M3 back in 2009 with a bunch of boltons and it handled beautifully around the track. From everything ive seen online the c63 is more of a straight line performer than a car built for the twisties.

I was worried about this myself when I ordered the C63C but not any longer after having one out at the track.
