Race start at drag strip ?
Anyone tried the race start mode at the drag strip ? Read the manual and wonder exactly when all the pre race start items should be done. At what part of the light tree do you do -whatever ?????. I know I can try this on my own .but any heads up will help, Thanks --I am referring to the 2012 models

Oh and the other thing is I figured out how to do rolling launch controls! Its really hard to do... you have to get the timing right pulling your foot off the brake and pushing down on the gas at roughly the same time... the car begins to roll then all of a sudden the back end wiggles and the tires screech! its wicked!!

From what I've read, you can manahge a faster launch without using the race-start feature. This is surely more difficult to achieve but I've been able to cut consistent sub-4 second 0-60 runs. I'm veraging between 3.8-3.9 seconds on my Eurocharged tune.

Can you please share your technique? I would like to give it a try.

Sure. I launch the car around 1500RPM and modulate the throttle accordingly. Once the tires bite I floor it...consistent sub-4 second runs all day on street tires. My best time to date is 3.82 seconds.

I've tried this method, but in my experience, by the time the tires bite, it feels like a couple seconds have gone by. I've only nailed 1 launch like this before. I need more practice.

I've probably had about 100 passes at the dragstrip over the past 6 months to practice and have gotten it down pretty good. This car is just a b1tch to launch no matter how you slice it!
