Running MHP LT headers and OE LT header file.. Need 1 step colder plugs from what Ive read..

Would the SLS plugs work? Anyone running them? Id like to grab something local instead of waiting for it to come in the mail if possible..

Well after some research, I think I'm going with Brisk Premium LGS. 1 step colder then stock.

Not sure. They are called Premium LGS.

Supposedly increase power slightly as they contribute to a better burn front.

I bought the Brisk spark plugs from weistec. Make sure you gap them at 0.40". I did. and the car is accelerating better

Not to thread jack but I have an 09 and I'm running an OE tune and filters. I have noticed the car missing at times especially in the morning. Anyone have any insight to this ?

Check your plugs. They will give you the answer

Read where? I don't know of a single C63 owner with headers who is running a colder plug. If there are, would one step up and post a photo of their OE spark plugs after some runtime with headers? FWIW in my prior experience with a BMW - similar situation, a much more restrictive exhaust than intake - after installing new OE plugs during the header installation I pulled the plugs after 8k miles to take a look. They were a uniformly coffee-with-cream color, so essentially perfect in my estimation.

Hughes is running colder plugs after his car started misfiring and running like ****. I am sure other guys are running colder plugs too. Andy at MHP suggested colder plugs. Its common knowledge that an increase in 75-100hp requires a colder plug to keep it from pre-igniting...

Weistec sells colder plugs from their systems as well. The SLS runs a 1 step colder plug because of the increase in power.

Just because you put headers on a bmw and it didn't need a colder plug doesn't mean a car running over 100hp more then stock doesn't require them.

Maybe so but how many of these people have actually looked at their plugs to make that determination? Have you?
