2024 EQE 43 AMG SUV
I had a V50 T5 Volvo and was quite happy with it. Chipped with 250 hp
In October 2008 my girlfriend (wife today) contacted her father who is head of MB in Finland and asked if he could arrange a C merc for me for the weekend. He did..she asked for a 180 kompressor ->320 CDI. He brought an iridium silver C63 (my gallery ).

It was tire switch period with winter coming up so she called me and asked me to come down and help her carry her tires. I went down to the garage and she was standing by the C63...i was baffled to say the least.

I jumped in and just kept driving. I was hooked, i just didn't realize it at that moment. It was two days later, on sunday when i handed it over, as i stepped into my dear V50 and revved it...that was it. Three weeks later the C63 was in my garage and since then i've had 4 amg's, now back to the C family

Thanks for reading.

My heart was always with Japanese cars and BMW. I owned an Evo X with 325hp on the dyno and I thought it was heaven. My next car was going to be an M3 or Nissan GtR. Meanwhile, my wife always had a mercedes (on her 3rd E-class) and until she agreed looking at an AMG I never gave it a thought. Opportunities arise and got invited in one of AMG's performance event and got to try different AMG's in an autocross setting and the rest is history.

2013 Nissan GT-R BE
I was thinking either the GT-R or the C63, but the C63 has a much better interior so I picked it, then forgot about the GT-R has AWD...

I was hooked after driving one.
I'm really leaning towards a GT-R after the C63, but who knows.....

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
I made the jump to euro cars at age 25 when I realized it was as much fun going around corners as it was going in a straight line. A 78 911 was my first buy but strickly a weekend car. So I wanted a daily driver and a BMW 318 worked out for that. After several other Porsche 911's and BMW's including an M-3. The M-3 got totaled and I had a new GF (who lived out of town) didn't know how to drive a stick and I missed having a V-8. So a 1999 C43 fit the bill perfectly. From there I was hooked. Next a C55 (also totaled) and now the C63. I've been lucky enough to survive being hit so often also have kept one Porsche 911 variant up until today. The C63 is a fantastic daily driver.

Mercedes ML350, Mercedes C63 AMG
I was more of an Audi fan and my father in law is a big Mercedes fan. He has had several like:
280SL pagode
ML 55 AMG
SLK 55 AMG
SLK 200
SL600
E350 COUPE
ML 350
GL 320
Still has the last 4 and the pagode.
He was invited to the AMG Experience event and I went along.

I drove sll AMG,s like SL63, E63, S65, SLS and C63. None of them was so much fun to drive as the C63, except maybe for the SLS but thats a bit out of my reach.

Still being an Audi fan I hold on to my S5 (V8) for three more months but couldt forget about the fun I had in the C63. So sold my S5 and my C63(2008) will be in my garage within two weeks.

I've always been a Mercedes fan. However, when I first read a Road and Track review of the C36 AMG vs BMW M3, back in the late 90's, I got hooked on AMGs. I then saw some running around Boston and knew I wanted to have one. Though being a student at that time, it was still a distant dream. I then followed reviews on the C43 (202), then C55 (202), then C32K (203), then C55 (203) and finally the C63 AMG. The reviews on the C63 ere mainly very positive. Some calling it the best car from AMG to date at that time. When I finally watched the Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson drove it and called it an 'axe murdered with headlights' I knew I wanted it more than any other car. Ok, not for the axe murderer comment but for the POWERRRRR! and SOUNDDDDD! :-)) I was also considering a Porsche 911 but after seeing and sitting in the C63 at the Frankfurt Motor show in 2008, the deal was sealed. I had the opportunity to buy it, which I did and now this is where I am, very happy with my selection.

Before the C63, I drove an Audi A4 1.8T (chipped), various C-class models, GL450 then the C63.

Wanted a N/A, V8 sedan. In the end, it simply came down to the M3 or the C63.

It was the torque and exhaust note that led me to the C63.

got married, and the wife didn't want to have an impractical 2 seater coupe that was too low to be driven in the winter time.

I had been looking around for a new car anyways, and it was time to go german. I test drove it from someone i know, and instantly fell in love with it. Not long after that the very person I got the test drive from is letting the car go, so I bought the very car that I fell in love with

My first AMG.

I grew up riding in my parents 560SEL, so I've always been fond of Mercedes. I bought my first Mercedes in '99, an SLK230. Fun car but needed more power and handling. I put my name down for (at the time) unannounced SLK AMG. The car never materialized, and the dealer offered a SLK 320 to me instead. Was impatient so I took the plunge and picked up the car. 2 days after delivery, Mercedes officially announced the SLK AMG. Poor timing. I just landed a huge business deal with my cousin, and he decided to order one as well. Since I just picked up the 320, I let him go first, not knowing the consequences.

I competed in AutoX that year with the SLK320 and was very competitive. Once my cousin got his SLK 32 AMG delivered, I used that here and there at AutoX and realized the potential of that car (it was classed as A Stock, with the S2000's). I nearly won Rookie of the year in the 320, and was beat by a Mini Cooper shod with R compounds.

Had no idea that Canada was being shafted on AMG allocations, my cousin got his SLK 32 in 2002. I let him go first thinking that the next one would be months away, instead, it was nearly 18 months before I got my allocation. Finally in 2003, my SLK 32 AMG arrived!

Competed in the A Stock class with the car, shod with R compounds, and was competitive from the start. Got several overall FTD's, surprising everyone that a little Mercedes can kick so much ***. Unfortunately, the car was rear ended TWICE on the street that year, and I missed tons of events. The 2nd accident was the day of the final event of the year, which I needed to complete to hit my minimum events for the championship. I competed that event with a crushed trunk, roof stuck open, and what turned out to be a bent frame... in the rain! With that poor result, I still ended up 2nd overall, and 1st in class. Can't complain. The year after, they reclassed the car to SS Stock, which made it uncompetitive against the Z06's.

Here's one of the final pictures of her:

I was actually in the market for a clean black/black Supra. I dont remember how, but somehow I happened to come across a picture of a CL55 with VIP Modular's on it and I instantly fell in love.

2 weeks later, it's in my garage<3

2009 C63 AMG
Just prior to my C63, I had a 335i and an E46 M3. I needed both cars as I was spending time in both SoCal and the Bay Area. When I no longer needed 2 cars, I could not decide which one to keep...when I drove the 335i, I missed the M3's visceral feedback, when I drove the M3, I missed the 335's torque.

E9x M3s are great cars, but they just didn't impress me enough...or at least activated my gotta-have-it button...I have zero lust for them.

A friend of mine (who I bought my last 4 Bimmers from) recently started working for a local MB dealer and he convinced me to check out the C63 (I was one of those guys who appreciated other makes but never considered owning anything without the blue and white roundel on the hood).

As most of you already know, the C63 test drives were like lap dances from Scarlett Johansson...so once the numbers aligned properly, I took her home.

It started with my grandpa and since him our family has owned over fifty Mercedes Benz. We've also been fortunate enough to keep nearly half of them. With AMG being fairly new we do only own eight different AMGs. We do own two 190E 2.3 16Vs, but that was before AMG

some notable automobiles left:
1955 190SL
1959 220S
1986&87 190 E 2.3 16V
1993 300CE
1998 C43
2004 C32
2003 SLK32
2008 G55
2010 E63
2010 CL63
2012 C63C

MBW M and MB AMG have always been aspirational brands for me. I always viewed them as the pinnacle of German engineering philosophy; comfortable when you need it, brutality when you want it. AMGs have both in spades...with, IMO, the extra panache that comes with the three-pointed star.

When I was finally able to afford the C63 or M3, the choice was easy.

Rarity, power, looks. AMG has it all. What actually sparked my interest on my first AMG was that it was considered the competitor to the M3. I loved my M3, so why not try out the competition. Been hooked ever since.

How do you know what a lap dance from Scarlett Johansson feels like?

My wife wanted me to buy a more "grown up" car. My previous car was an 03 lancer evo. I thank her every now and then because if it wasn't for her I would have bought a 135 or 335. She liked the 6.2 liter v8 so much, she got the e63 for herself :0
