While shopping 09's I learned that the LSD was both a part of the performance pack (p30?) cars, and a stand alone option. Was this the case for '10 and '11 as well (I.e. you can still have LSD without PP?

Yes, to thet best of my knowledge this option is still available as a package or stand alone option. You can always buy this from Quaife.

Can you share the part number for the Quaife?

My dealer tried to install a Quaife (QDF9V) in my new 2012 E550 Coupe and it wouldn't fit: 5mm difference. Just wondering if he tried to use a C63 unit.

L.S.D. is indeed a stand alone option on C63.
