Merry Christmas......it's a write-off!!!
First of all Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Festivus for the rest of us!

I am pleased to report that yesterday my car was declared a total loss and paid out by the insurance company. I say pleased because I didn't want to own a car that required $35,000 in parts, but really I am saddened. It was a beautiful car and I was very very fond of the Tenorite Grey. I don't think I'll be able to replace that locally in a timely enough fashion, so I am currently eyeballing a black 2009 with the Performance Pack. I have some trepidation about going with black cos altho it is sweet looking, I know it is a bicth to maintain. I had an 87 Grand National and I washed it nearly every day cos in my opinion nothing looks sweeter than a clean black car, but nothing looks plainer than a dirty one. My concern re color is currently being trumped by the fact that I am a more-aholic and I'd really like to lay my hands on that P31 pack.
At any rate, thanks to all the well wishers - those who did so public as well as those who PM'd. I have been on this site EVERY SINGLE DAY since the accident and I have never had a moments indecision as to what my next car will be. From the day of that accident I have looked forward to my next day behind the wheel of a C63. It may not be perfect, no car is, but it is damn fun to drive and a treat for all the senses. It is absolutely untouchable in the "bang for the buck" category.
I'll post pics of my next ride just as soon as I get it. Again.....Happy Holidays to all and thanks for the support!

GL finding yourself a new C63. The '09 had P30 and some of the packages varied a bit so check it carefully. No HP increase, stiffer springs, LSD, and I am not sure what else maybe CF trunk spoiler, alcantara steering wheel. Find a '10 with P31 if you can.

My '09 P30 has LSD, Compound brakes, Track Suspension, Alcantara wheel and top speed to 174 (per window sticker). No carbon fiber in '09. Extra power not needed as you'll probably flash the ECU anyway.....

those three reasons, plus no offence but.....there are angles at which the coupe just does not work for me. I walk around it and I like it, I like it and oh. Not so much. I dont feel that way about the sedan.
