wind noise after 100kph
hi everyone
i am hearing a wind noise, after about 110kph on my right. sounds like its in between the fronth and rear door. i have checked all the rubbers and seals around the doors, could not find anything. has anyone else experienced this? or could someone suggest were to start looking.

sorry for my ignorance, but what is a vapor barrier, and is it something i can fix myself.
i am trying to avoid taking it to a dealer thats going to open panels, remove rubbers, etc. afraid they wont put it all back together like the factory.
thanks

I have the exact same problem with my C63 Coupe that I just got. It didn't happen all the time and it is too cold out now to have the windows down. But I am going to look at it again in the spring/summer. It was a high pitched whistle coming from the driver's side.

The vapor barrier is a sheet of coated paper or plastic, that doesn't allow water or moisture to enter the interior door panels. Water will enter the doors via the window glass, and the doors have water drain holes on the bottom. The vapor barrier keeps the water and air out. Sometimes the barrier isn't sealing properly and allows air and water in. Cold air entering through the doors could be a sign, of a bad seal.

I found that the c-class's have horrible quality issues when it comes to wind noise. I've driven in 4-5 cars now and everyone had wind noise coming into the car (hissing/whistle noise) to some degree either from front A-pillars or rear side pillars etc.
