Requirements for a car to be eligible for MB extended warranty?

Requirements for a car to be eligible for MB extended warranty?
I have my A1 service coming up and I wanted to know if the car is required to be serviced at a dealership if I want to be eligible for purchasing an extended warranty with Mercedes? I'm not clear if the car must be CPO'ed before purchasing an extended warranty?

I just tried to get extended warranty and was denied because I did 1 oil change myself. All service history must be documented at the dealer.
