Rear view mirror compass
Does anyone know if the US C63 has the compass display in the rear view mirror? My 09 had a button on the bottom right of the mirror to turn the display on/off. There is no such button on the mirror in my car. I see a hole, and I can see an orange light inside the housing, the light actually shines out through the hole a bit. It actually looks like there should be a button here, but is missing for some reason. My car is the new coupe.

My 2010 Canadian C63 has the compass as standard equipment. Our 2011 GLK 350 has it as well but no button to turn it off/on. There is a pin hole on the bottom of the mirror housing that you can insert a round pin into to set the zones and calibrate the compass. Maybe you can turn it off/on there as well. Check out you owner's manual and it might shed some light on the operation of the compass and if you have it or not.

My 2010 has one, check for a black button under the mirror, that will be a sure sign, whtehr you have one or not. Keep in mind this is different from thet garage door opener buttons.

Ok. I just found out the manual is wrong when it comes to the compass. The hole on the bottom right of the rear view mirror with the amber light is a new feature meant to cast a very tiny amber glow down to the center console, perhaps visible only in the dark. There is no compass button on the new cars I guess. Compass control and resetting takes place through the nav screen menu system. I am guessing that the compass display is no longer available in the mirror since it is now displayed on the nav screen. Does anyone have the compass visible in the mirror by chance? Talking about 2012's here.
