the other day i nipped my drivers side mirror just enough that i need to go in and have it fixed

i think its just cosmetic but the actual mirror part popped out and there is a mark from the impact. small impact but enough to do some damage.

how much is a new side mirror replacement if it comes down to having to replace the whole thing?

i take a photo tomorrow.

it is scratched but its more like it popped apart. im not touching it anymore because im afraid that im going to break it more.

Well if its broken as in cracked then it will need to be fully repaired in a body shop. a good body shop should be able to fix it in no time as it doesn't sound like a major damage from what you describe.

i had mine (09 sedan) side mirrors completely ripped off by drunk dudes. The mirror didnt take any damage so I had to replace the frame. I believe they are about 240 per pair (OEM only comes in pairs)
If the mirror has to be replaced it will be something else

Isn't your car a lease? I'm sorry to hear that but can't you take it in and have them repair as part of lease protection?

My dad had an ML with the mirror ripped off. It was $800 to fix after labour. I cant see it being more than that.

forgot to take photos but my quote is almost 2000 dollars if they have to replace the whole thing. i dont think they are going to have to replace everything cause the mirror is not broken (i hope) and that was 1100 dollars alone. the motor is 500 but like a said.....it doesnt look that bad. just looks like it needs some touch up and to be put back together.

got it fixed. total was $423. most of the repair was labor but im just glad to have my car back.

and im not s|-|itting you......$1170 bucks for the mirror plate?????? glad that wasnt broke!!!!!!
