Need some advice- bumper damage do to Stupidity! (pic)

I meant DUE to----

Have you ever noticed that most of the really stupid things you have done in you life are usually preceded by you saying " Hey watch this".
My friend started asking about my MB and why did I trade in my vette for a slower car. Of course I explained it was NOT a slower car and invited him for a test ride. We were blasting around some tight country roads and about the time he was pissing his pants I thought it would be fun to turn off TC & ESP for a burnout! After a nice 50+ foot burnout I had him convinced. The next turn I forgot about the ESP being off and slipped the front right off the road and hit a concrete drive entrance.
My friend said " You car is fast but get your money back from the AMG driving Academy! HaHa!
So I can buy a new bumper cover for About 750.00 and have it painted, R&R'ed for I would guess 500.00.
Another option would be Revozport RMS splitter that would cover the damage.

My question is, are there other splitters that would cover the damaged area
and where is the best place to buy? See pic

Also anyone have a front rim for cheap??

Well after an alcohol fueled afternoon at a friends house (out in the country). My friend started asking about my MB and why did I trade in my vette for a slower car. With all due respect. When reading this it is a funny thread right up to when you ask " Also anyone have a front rim for cheap?" lol

Don't feel bad mines at the shop for the same issue too I hit something on the highway and it cracked as well..didn't snap off but cracked.

Good luck

Rim is dinged pretty good! I need to find a single front rim.

I think this vent cover and splitter will cover all but a 1/ inch by the wheel opening.

A reputable bodyshop can easily fill it in without having to replace the bumper, no?
But i think you would def need to get an wheel alignment tho.
Good luck with the fix man..

I'm not going to judge you as I wasn't there but do you really think it was smart coming to a public forum and telling everyone that after you were drinking you took your friend out for a joyride without TC on? Country road or not? Well, at least the lack of judgement in admitting it is consistent with the lack of judgement in doing it.

Anyway, you might have thought about leaving that part out.

Drinking and driving is stupid.. unless it is on a closed course non public area with lots of orange cones and some people in white coats documenting your stupidity... in which case... it was alot of fun...

However.. DO NOT DO IT.. and yes, I am judging, I have seen to many people put into the ground as a result of other entities driving under the influence.

OK guys I already said it was STUPID and bad judgement! I was not drunk but did have a few beers in me. I glad to see there are so many perfect people on this board that don't speed , race on the street, drink or spit on the sidewalk.

To those offering advice on the repairs, thanks!

Haha some of the "perfect" guys on this forum **** me off too. I've made worse judgement calls the you. I totaled a Pontiac vibe drifting around in it at 1:30am in the rain on a Friday night. You're lucky it wasn't worse damage. I would try the carbon peices it looks like it would cover it. For a front rim look on eBay or maybe it's an excuse to get some
Aftermarket ones!

Like khmer said, I would def look into getting the DTM front bumper...great reason to switch and it would look amazing.

I truly don't think patch work would be able to do the job well...

I think the DTM option is a good one as well. CF parts are not going to do the job completely and a repair job my not turn out to be invisible. You will always know the damage is under there. Check with a body shop for your cheapest option but a new OEM or a DTM for a step up are likely your best options.

If your wheel holds air and is not cracked a wheel repair may be possible if you cannot find a single used rim in good shape.
