X-pipe help

I have a company local to me who offer a custom made x-pipe for the c63, I have searched and searched but still confused. What I want to know is does an x pipe get rid of my second cats? the ones that are ok to remove in terms of emissions and cel light?

I'm also confused about single and double x pipe, what does this mean and when the exhaust shop is doing the custom x pipe i can specify?

All I want to do is make the car a little more free flowing in terms of sound, get a bit more of that sound out if you know what I mean.

I'm also not sure about resonator delete, i know it makes it much louder but at this moment I am totally confused about what I should be doing to get louder safely.

I'll say it before anyone else does.....

"Use the search button"

Just buy one pre-made by one of the forum sponsors.

I recommend MBH Motorsports.

How much for a custom made one?

Remove the resonator, the secondary cats and install an X pipe.

Ex 335i,

Look at MBH, I think they describe all these components on their web page. I am with you, it becomes confusing for the first time. Former 335I owner here too.

The placement of the Xpipe is very important, too far back you will not see the same results... Keep the resonator in the same location, do a search under MHP vs. KLEEMAN REMATCH and take a look at my pics.....

Replace the secondary cats with the X-pipe, pre-made (ex. MBH) or local shop fabrication and if you want, then replace the resonators with straight pipe. _AMG_ has this layout and there are clips around of his car if you search.

The X will chage the way the car sounds. It won't have the same "pop" as it has now. I personally didn't like the way it sounded. It took away the " AMG " sound that made that car so fun. Just my .2 get and H pipe made. Yes the factory resonator has an H in it but it's way too tiny to make a difference.

Was this with stock exhaust or headers?
