How do you remove the door pulls on a 2011 C63?

I've read that there's supposed to 'give' after a bit of force. Well, that didn't work.. They seem that they will only come off with a pair of pliers - I also tried unscrewing them off, but they just spin and spin, leading me to think there's a spring underneath?

Anyway - doesn't make sense. Any help? The stock ones are hideous!

The front door lock pins screw on and the rear ones pop on and off and they require a little force to remove as you don't want them just popping off when you lift them to manually unlock the door. The rear ones might push the mechanism apart when you try to reinstall. The door panel is relatively easy to remove if this happens to put the rear pin mechanism back in place.

Sounds... Scary. Thanks a bunch, Mort. Will try it out. Did you need pliers to get a proper grip?

Unless you have really strong fingers you will need pliers. I wrapped mine in a shop towel (one of the thick blue paper ones from Canadian Tire or other stores) to protect the pin and used pliers to lift the pin off.

Hey Mort, the front doors worked - thanks!

However, the door pulls I bought on eBay dont seem to fit - which ones did you get?

The Ebay seller I used for the door pins was speed-zero151@hotmail.com and no they are not a perfect fit. I think the front screwed on but were loose. I think I may have put a dab of RTV silicon on the pin once I figured out how far I wanted to screw it on. The back ones just fit over top and did not snap on like the originals. I tried pushing really hard and it just pushed the lock mechanism out of place so I took the rear door panel off to see what was going on. In the end I just put some RTV Silicone on the pin and slipped it on and let it dry. They have been there for a year but I am not sure if I tried to lift them that they might pull off rather than open the lock. I adjusted them level with the door panel so there is nothing to grab anyway and just hope I never have to unlock the rear doors manually.
