Used M6 vs. New C63?
If you were to choose between a 2008-ish used BMW M6 (ie. this one; http://www.habberstadbmwofbayshore.c...89d1177ff8.htm), or a new C63, which would you choose, and why? I think both cars look absolutely sublime, and from what I hear are very similar in straight out power. Though the C63 would probably be another 10,000$, I would be getting a brand new car (which is always a great feel ). I understand that this is the C63 forum, so I will probably get much bias from some people, but let me know what you guys think! I'm interested to know.

Expect alot of C63 votes considering your asking this question on a MB forum. lol
The M6 has a great engine with alot of top end power but the C63 is a torque monster.
My vote goes for the C63.

Was with my cousin in his M6, his second M6 by the way, and we got torched by a C63 probably a year ago. It must have been tuned, by the way he has a e63 now. C63 my vote

I own a 63 and an M6. The engine characteristics are completely different. Out of the hole my 63 is much better. M6 really comes alive at 5500 rpm ... and will then hang beautifully on the throttle. Top end the V10 is brutal ... from around 140 up a C63 can't hang with it anymore ... even with a tune ... unless tune and headers. Both cars also have different transmissions. I personally love the SMG in the M6, but it's not for everyone ... much quicker and more responsive than the 63's automatic. Both are gaguzzlers ... the M6 even more than the 63. The V10's appetite for oil is also quite big ... $17 a quart. Both cars sound great ... especially the V10 at 8200. Both cars have a stiff suspension ... on the M6 you have options to adjust shock settings on the fly.
Depends what you prefer ... city driving the 63 is effortless, no matter what gear you're in compared to the M6. You have to work that gearbox to extract power from the V10, otherwise it feels pretty numb. Both cars are great in their own way ... you'll be happy with either one.

Tell the sales guy you need each for an over-nighter!
I haven't driven the M6 but loved all of the other BMW M products. Really, the only way is to spend an hour driving one then the other. The one that puts the biggest smile on your face wins.
It's not really a monetary decision if you can afford both.
Insurance will be higher on the M6, if you opt for the 4 door merc. Plus, conveince.
The I-Drive on the M, is the previous generation and is the worst.
The V-10 sounds nothing like the gurgle of the C-63 which is a symphonic blend of raw animal and rod stiffening beauty for all who stand behind her.
Let us know what your thinking is...

I'm actually prefer Stock over any mods, and for Stock vs Stock, I prefer the C63 over even the Iconic E39 M5

That would be a hard choice for me. THe top end on the M6 is insane and it has to have one of the most comfortable seats around.
That being said, logic and my love for V8s would make me choose a C63 coupe with p31.

On the bottom a tuned C63 will walk a M6. Up top above 140 a modded M6 with scoops will pull away.

Oh wow, this is a hard choice. The V10 sounds amazing. I'm a huge M6 fan but a brand new C63 does sound very appealing as well. If I had to choose, I would probably choose M6 just because of its exclusivity.

C63 Edition 1 Coupe
I sold my 07 m6 in November only had the car for one year, but I absolutely loved that car. The shifting in power mode and shift setting at the highest is visceral they are so aggressive. My m6 had meisterschaft gt2 and to be honest I think that was the cleanest sounding car I have ever heard, the c63 is amazing as stock though I think the c63 is a better sounding stock car. I raced my buddy in his 09 c63 with my m6 from 70-140 on freeway and it wad even up until 100 then by the time we hit 140 I was about 2 cars ahead. Hardly ne thing can touch an m6 on freeway. I raced a lambo gallardo lp560 from 0-100 at 70 he was about a car and a half infront, by the time we hit 100 only one car I was starting to pull and I think it would have been even at 150. As far as interior my 2012 c63 Is way more technologically advanced, the seat are nicer, leather is nicer, but in favor of m6 I loved the alcantara roof I had and also the extended leather very nice. Problem with a used m6 Is that if u end up without maintenance or warranty I would watch out things get very expensive, the smg sometimes can be a little annoying it's just not as smooth on those tired, lazy, sick days. I made the switch and I can honestly say this: I loved the m6 I will never deny that, the meisterschaft sounds better then my c63 now (but different). But in the end I couldn't be happier with my 12 c63 coupe, it is more fun then the m6, sound is ridiculous for stock, the torque is much higher, I believe with development package I could possibly keep up with an m6 on freeway, the interior is amazing. I would tell u to drive both because ultimately it's your decision, but I'm a recent changer and I have nothing negative about the c63. I can post pics or videos of the m6 if you would like, and Anwser questions.

-C63 power is more usable and feels faster. newer command is better than old iDrive.
-M6 is much more luxurious.
-M6 exhaust sound is intoxicating. The V10 kind of puts the car in the exotic category. be prepared to pay to maintain a $100k + car
I went from a C55 -> M5 because there is something special about a 4dr sedan with a v10 and a manual transmission. probably won't ever see again with the CAFE regulations.
now if you are talking about the new V8TT E63/CLS63... that's a totally different ball game
