c63 Hood Emblem
I know there have been other threads about this but from what I can tell most of them have been inactive for a while with no success.
I wanted to know if anyone has changed the hood emblem on their c63 and if so if there has been any success? From what I can tell the issue is nobody seemed to make the right size one which appears to be 57mm. Just looking on ebay, i found a company (or a guy) in Japan who makes one that is 57.5 and has a few pictures proving that it's the right size.

Just curious if anyone has given it a try or what your thoughts are on that
The other question is the trunk emblem. If i'm not mistaken (at least for my 2012), the trunk emblem isn't removable, it's the MB star, so in order for the trunk emblem to work on the car you would have to remove the star and drill holes or re-glue them onto the trunk. Seems like a lot of work and potentially ruin your trunk. Just curious

I bought one set of this and it arrived today.
the hood emblem comes in as two parts: the metallic sticker on top and the bottom holder, It's a 3M double tape, not sure how well it'll hold up against weather yet. But you need to align and put them together by yourself.
Installed it after work, size is right, the bottom holder pushed in easily and stays pretty well. But it feels a little bit flat, doesn't look and feel as well structured as the stocked star emblem.

I didn't realize there was a size issue and bought mine from formymercedes. I painted the trim to match my grill and I actually like the way it looks. It's too small for the cavity, but the added layers of contrast make it look good.

I'll post a few pictures after I get my car back from the dealer tomorrow.

Just put it on. Toughest part is figuring out what angle to stick it at. Pretty good quality, happy with the new emblem. Please ignore the dirty car, the snow has been melting and the roads are wet! Here are some pics:

That I'll leave to balthaser...I only got the front emblem to see how it looked. Will probably pick up the center caps as well from this seller based on the quality of this hood emblem!
