Different Sets of Tires Front and Rear OK?
I have just ordered Michelin Pilot Super Sports 275/35/18 to replace my almost bald rears. My fronts are still Conti Contact 3. Is it ok if I left the fronts as it is, or will it majorly affect performance and/or damage the vehicle in any way?

Thanks for the reassurance. My fronts only wore half as bad as the rears. So it's gonna be every other rear for the fronts. Will match them when the time comes. Fat tires here I come.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
But, we're all gonna face this issue aren't we, because whilst we've only just taken delivery of our C63, it's plainly obvious, that rears are going to require replacement a LLLOOONNNGGG time before the fronts.
Cheers, Pickles.

On the street you would be fine. On a track, I would not personally run mismatched tires as the grip and handling characteristics would be different front/rear and would problematic when driving at or near the limit of the car.
