Weird ticking noise from the engine bay!
So I was ripping the car hard this afternoon. S+, traction off, Pedal to the floor through the corners etc. When I parked I heard a weird ticking noise and not the one I usually hear from the rear. This one was from the engine bay. I opened it up and couldn't tell where it was coming from. Any thoughts?

Probably just from the heat of the engine from being pushed hard. I find all cars make funny ticking noises, pings, etc after a good run.
Off topic a bit... You have more ***** than me to be doing this in winter... even in relatively warm winter weather... especially with winter tires (if you have them on) or with summer tires in cold (<10deg C) weather. You are a braver man than I. Then again, I'm the type to typically keep anything involving "traction off" and "pedal to the floor in corners" for the track only. Well, I typically don't have the pedal to the floor in corners even at the track other than on exit

Haha ok well it went away so I will just tell myself everything is good
Lol yah its been a beautiful weekend and I have Hankook W310's on for the winter. With them on and the traction off, pushing it through the corners the car is completely sideways -only as one would expect. lol I used to have it in sport most of the time and it was a similar thing. Then I decided to play with the car with the traction completely off and my god is it addicting! The screech off the line, and the corners.. maybe its *****, but Im finding this so much fun! All the noise this car can make at low speeds is its greatest strength! Obviously one wouldn't drive like this on the track... and Im not doing this around other cars, for you safety nuts.

Used to happen to mine from time to time, not sure what triggers it, but it comes from the coil - packs (I think)
It went away after about 30-45 min of driving, typically.
