brakes noise
i think i already saw a thread on this anyways but what ever. so it seems lilke every time i go to hit the brakes it makes a horrible squeak my friend driving three cars behind me could hear it. i have an appointment with my dealer to see what it is, but i get this gut feeling they're going to say its nothing. im tired of people staring at me weird everytime i brake at lights or a stop sign
so anyways, any ideas about what it could be

My dealer told me, that this is just an effect of high performance brakes. I didn't buy it for a second. So I removed my pads and put a generous amount of brake paste on thet backing plate. No more squealing like a pig. Mercedes-AMG doesn't officially recommend this practice. You might want to consider it. This paste looks and has the consistency of peanut butter.

The same thing happens with my car.
Its really not something you should be too worried about especially because your car is fairly new.
I was watching top gear US last week and a brand new CTS-V made the same sound when they pulled it up to the drag race start. Take it to the dealer and see what they say.
Also, I remember reading a couple threads on here with some remedies on how to solve the issue. Take a search through.

You could always give the brakes a workout by doing several hard brake applications in quick succession from 100kph to around 5-10 kph....but DO NOT STOP.
That may get rid of any "coating" on your pads & therefore stop the squealing.

I found slamming them in reverse helped, but I ended up getting new rotors front and rear until the sounds were gone. Game. Set. Match. Don't let them feed the tripe about high perf brakes do that, they don't and shouldn't.
