Weistec on M156
For all of you with their supercharger on your M156.
How many miles on your drivetrain?
How many miles with supercharger on it?
How do you anticipate that drivetrain holds up?
Thanks

Weistec has sold a lot of their systems for the M156, if I had to guess I would say close to 100 units and there are no documented cases of drivetrain failure. Ecampbell and I are both making a lot more hp than Stage 1 and Stage 1 plus. That being said our latest round of Wesitec mods have or car pushing 800rwhp and we all know that's going to be pushing the limits on these 7G transmisions so Weistec began working on trans modifications back in October. Those mods are being tested on Earls car and my car and should be available for sale very soon. To get back to your question, if you are installing a stage 1 or stage 1 plus you will have no issues with you trans or drivetrain.

I work on these for a living. I would not worry about it at all. If you are running with slicks at the track every week you might eventually wear it out. But you might do that with a stock car also. The clutches in these transmissions and a fair bit of the hard parts are taken right from the previous 5 speed. It is a stout transmission. As a street car especially with moderate temperatures that we have in the PNW I can not see it being an issue. The rest of the driveline you are not going to have any problems with either. If you do not have a lsd yet you will want one.
