I have my side markers painted to match the car but they still light up really dim, even after throwing two coats on the bulbs with black engine paint. It looks terrible at night! Any suggestions??

I was thinking some electrical tape but that might be a little ghetto...

I have the chrome dipped bulbs that came with my clear side markers. They were already very dim and would most likely be completely invisible if coated. Considering they only cost around $6, might be worth a try.

I'd be interested to see what you're experiencing. I'm thinking about getting the painted side markers.

That's how some people have done it on the regular C-class forum.

Just leave the bulb out of the covers and tape them back out of the way.
