Hurry up Spring!!!! My summer rubber is ready...

Just picked up my OEM 16 spoke 19" wheels with 245/35-19 and 265/30-19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. HURRY UP Spring!!

Wow... are the 265 rears WAY wider than the winter tires or what The PSS tires also are very wide with a fairly square sidewall. They look nice on the wheels and don't look too big. Next to the OEM 18" wheels, they are taller by a little bit (which will fill in the fenders a little) and what seems to be about 1/2" or more wider. Part of that is the wider tire (245/265 vs 235/255) but also the square sidewall. The Contis are very rounded and the Michelins are square which appears to make a big difference on tread width to the road.

Now all I need is some consistently warmer temps to be able to enjoy the car with the summer wheels/tires.

Got them from the dealer. I basically traded my OEM 18's that came with the car for the OEM 19's with some cash on my end. The dealer was happy to take the 18's back and I was happy to give them to them It also gave me the chance to upgrade the tires to the Pilot Super Sports which are much grippier than the Conti's.

Yes! Finally, you wont ever regret this purchase, they transform the cars look and personality completely! The rear rims are wider than the others I believe...doesnt look like a bad winter in Halifax either...now go get yourself some good wheel cleaner and apply a few coats on them, it will really help with the brake dust accumulation...these wheels are abit of a challenge to keep clean, but well worth it.

They are beautiful wheels for sure!

I use Wolf's Chemicals Nano Rim Sealant on all of my wheels. It lasts about a year and is simply AMAZING. Brake dust and dirt does not stick... power spray off the wheels and they are clean. The most amazing thing I have ever used. A good rim sealant and a high quality wheel brush makes cleaning even these wheels easy (well, relatively ).

autoobsessed.com and it's a Canadian site too George so no duty! Clean the wheels REALLY well (I use Dawn dish detergent to get all of the grease and oils off the wheels) and then apply a couple of coats. Easy to do and well worth the initial prep.

Nice pics with wheels side by side. How would you compare the sealant you use to WheelWax?

Much more durable... much better water beading... much better dirt repellancy. Wheelwax is OK but not as good IMO. I have used a lot of different products and the Wolf's Wheel Sealant is my favourite.

looks great gthal! Those PSS look right at home on the 19" AMG wheels...might have to consider getting a set of those to replace my Conti's when they wear out.

As for rim cleaning, P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner is the best stuff I've ever used. Apply to cold wheels, let it sit for 10 minutes and then with a sharp stream of water, everything comes off. If it's really caked on there, a brush will loosen the brake dust and it'll clean right up. Armor All rim protectant works well too, it keeps the brake dust at bay, but be weary that if you apply too much, it can leave a stain on stainless wheel barrels or faces.

P21S Gel cleaner is great. You should also give the Sonax wheel cleaner a try sometime. I find it is even a tad more aggressive than the P21.

Generally, though, I avoid wheel cleaners as I find they cause the wheel sealant/wax to have less durability which just means I need to use them more often as brake dust sticks more. I will use a cleaner in my Spring detail to get the wheels in great shape, apply my Wolf's wheel sealant and then just auto shampoo and water after that.

I'll have to try this Wolf's Wheel Sealant. I bought Poorboys a while back, but that did nothing for my matte finish work rims. The brake dust stuck right to the wheel. I typically shope eShine.ca, autoobsessed.com is good too, funny how certain items are cheaper than others on one site than the other!

Those are incredibly shiny, I am going to have to try and get some of that wolf, I have been using the wheel wax. What tire shine are you using

Zaino Z16 on the rubber... it's my favourite tire dressing. Not greasy but a deep, black matte look.

The wheels aren't quite as shiny as the pics as the flash is distorting it a bit but the Wolf's sealant definitely makes them sparkle.
