Best offset for 19x9.5 rear wheel
Hey all I found a set of 19's the specs are 19x8.5 et45 and 19x9.5 et45 wanted to get input on the rear and see if I should choose a different rear offset. Car is a daily driver so not looking for anything too aggressive. This is the standard offset but others are available. Wanted to see what others are running.
Any help is appreciated

We can 19x10+50 with 275s for the most aggressive fitment with no rub as a comparison.

I ran the exact same rim as you with 45ET and 265 rear tire prior to getting my Forgestars and I had rubbing issues very frequently in the rear.
My current rears are a 52ET and a 275 tire and I have no issues at all...
Offset made all the difference...as an FYI, factory offset on the rear on bot 18 and 19" wheels is 54.
Cheers.

Those are the only ones I have of it so far. I'll take more when I have some time.

So I am going to order my new 19" wheels. They are the sls style wheels from PowerWheel Pros. Hoping these specs will work. 19x8.5 et45 and 19x9.5 et45. The guys at PowerWheel said et45 rear should be perfect guess I will find out. Any tire recommendations I would like the Michelin PSS
Here is link to there current wheel thread with pics. I inquired about the weight.
Or the 829 SLS style in 19x8.5/9.5 45mm

I installed hre's rear is 51et and have 275 michelin pss. I had 5 passengers (i know crazy) and no rubbing at all.
C63 needs wider tires than oem, no question about it! No problem with traction anymore

Trying to finally make a decision on a set of wheels. Would 19x9.5 et48 be better than et45? I don't want any issues with rubbing, I don't plan to lower the car if that makes a difference. Plan to run 265/30/19 tire in the rear. I know most ppl run et50 or et54. But the offset calculator at
http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp
says the inner clearance will be the same and outer position will extend an additional 12mm with 19x9.5 et48.

Ya, et48 would be better. Here's another similar thread...

Read your post, update on if you went thru with the +45 offsets in the rear wheels and if so how is it, fitting/rubbing?

I gotta say that some guys here must have something done differently to there cars. I got my 19's in (F) 19x8.5 +40 235/35 and (R) 19x10 +45 offset 265/30 Michelin PSS, lowered on H&R springs and I'm not rubbing. Keep in mind that I have not loaded it up with 4 males in my car, but I never do... I also have the 17mm shims on my rear springs.

how tight is the wheel wells of these cars that we must use high offset wheels? Is nobody rolling their fenders to be worried about having rubbing issues? It appears the rubbing is not on the suspension side but rather on the outside hence the need to get higher offsets. Rubbing on the inside can always be dealt with if you add spacers.
I am planning to get 19x8.5 255/35 front 19x9.5 265/30 rear from a CL600 and I know those use lower offsets since the car is big but I figure if others are putting 19x10's with 45-50mm offsets a 19x9.5 wheel even at 35mm offset should still work since you have 1/2" clearance on the outside to fender to play with since 10mm =.39 inches.
several posters have given different tolerances for getting bigger wheels and more aggressive offsets, but I don't think anyone mentioned whether they are rolling the fenders to get these additional sizes.
based on my experience, I always prefer to have issues on the fender rubbing vs the inside, because the inside can only be corrected with spacers or get a new rim. Outside rubbing can be fixed by fender rolling, camber adjustment, and also tire sizes.

19 x 9.5 ET 45 offset is fine.
I have a 19 x 8.5 ET 30 Front and 19 x 9.5 ET 44 Rear and no issues lowered on H&R Coil Overs.
As for rolling the fenders on the rear of the C63, there really isn't a whole lot to roll. On-top of that the sheet metal is "bonded" on the rear fender arches, that can break when trying to roll them.

255/30/19 Rear and 225/35/19 upfront.
I should let you know, my rear passenger (Battery side) rubs very slightly over large bumps. Otherwise I'm ok.
I can probably upgrade to a 265 next time around, but have to stick with a tire that has a round sidewall.
I will eventually roll my fenders this summer (I do all of my cars), I wanted to see if I can pull off these offsets / widths without any modifications. For the most part it works fine.

Upfront yes, My offset is extremely aggressive upfront. Makes no difference from Stock to me with a 10 MM narrower tire. We need the traction in the back. The front you can get away with a marginally smaller tire.
The rear i'm running the stock widths.
The rear i'm running the stock widths.

Does any body know if I have 16 C300 trying to put 19in 8.5/9.5 offset 35/38 rims they won’t rub and I should have no problem with throwing them on correct based on ur example ?
