Forgestar… Why discontinue our offsets??
So im still in a huge bind over this Forgestar F14 situation. After one of my rear wheels being damaged beyond repair, I can't order a new 19x10 +50 because they have discontinued that offset. So here's my question…
If i ordered a 19x10 +44 (highest they make now) is there anyway I can have a wheel shop machine the offset somehow to make it a +50? There are multiple wheel shops here in DFW, but clue which one to use.
Anyone have any ideas?

Technically yes, but it would be outside's of Forgestar tolerances for this wheel. You would no longer be covered under warranty and there's no way to know the effects it might have on the wheel.
However I find this strange, even though it is indeed +44 at the most, we did cut a set of 19x10+50 in November and it was fine. Did you call Forgestar directly?

I'm sure there are machine shops out there that can machine them to your specs.
I think member: Tator also machined his hub plate on his HRE's to make them fit.
Its definitely doable.
Wonder why they discontinued that offset.

I have no idea why they would discontinue that cut. Beats me

Normally it is not a good idea to shave off more then 3mm or the back pad of any wheel. Keep in mind that by shaving off the material from the back pad you are thinning out the metal between the seat of your mounting bolt and the back pad. If the wall becomes too thin it is not going to be strong enough and the bolts can actually brake through the back pad. Talk to Forgestar about it.

Do NOT re-barrel your ONE PIECE expensive wheels. In order to increase the offset of your wheel, you will need a re-barrel. Check here: http://www.memoryfab.com/blog/view/2
Most shops will not even do once piece wheels, because they were never meant to be taken apart. I know wheelflip in LA might, but I do not recommend it at all. Increasing offset is always annoying.

You may have to just eat it, and get a proper quality set of rims. You get what you pay for, they're not even hubcentric. No way would I machine them to make them fit. Forgestar had a big issue with their load ratings so this doesn't surprise me.

Got some news.
The highest they can do is a 19x10+48, anything higher will compromise the integrity of the wheel.
You would need to change out your rear set completely.

get a new rear set... keep the single +50 and put it up for sale... wait for someone else who has a +50 to F up a wheel and then you have a buyer... you now have a rare offset wheel... maybe you can auction it off...
either way, that sucks that forgestar discontinued it... good luck

No issues - the former blanks were engineered to go as high as a +50. The new blanks have lower offsets for a wider - low offset car selection. I wish MB just offered a wider body for the AMG cars like the Ms!

Also consider from my experience - forgestar may not be able to perfectly match the color and finish on your new wheels. They screwed up 1 rim from my brand new wheel order and the replacement does not look the same. So I'm *** out and paying to have all 4 BRAND NEW wheels repainted.

^^Nop, highest they are willing to do is a +48 and that has always been the offset they have made for C63s - as confirmed by Forgestar themselves a few minutes ago (yes, that's correct, they even work on a Sat night ) !
