Was bored - went to Atco = new personal best!
I was bored, so I dediced to take a spur of the moment trip to Atco tonight.
-2000 DA was the motivating factor.
The only thing I did was take out the spare tire and jack. I set my tire pressures and had fun.
Weather was perfect for breaking records. The only issue was traction. As the temps dropped the track started getting slick so I settled for a mediocre increase in et and trap speed. My personall best run was the only run I was able to get decent traction.
11.277 @ 125.05
The slip says March 7th, not sure why but the run was made on the 6th.
Crappy Iphone picture.
My car needs a serious drop.

WOW!! Impressive. If I could only get a 1.8 sec 60'.....
How are you launching and in what mode are you drag racing? I just can't even see a 1.9 at all. I am running the same tires and I have the MHP S2 but can't hook up for *****!

Thanks.
Atco is a great track, I don't even bother with Englishtown anymore.
Track prep is very important and normally Atco is very good at it.
I launched about 1200 rpm. I give it a little gas before releasing the brake pedal. If you do it right the car slingshots out of the hole. This run was done in manual mode and I short shifted on the 1 - 2 shift because I was scared of hitting the limiter.

^^^^Great Advise . I have to try that technique. My car always bogs down a few feet after the initial launch. I spoke with my tuner and he thinks that I am overloading my converter(I am not sure if I am explaining it right) but apparently I am trying to launch it at higher rpms than normal..

Thanks Hagi.
Thank you.
Thanks Keith! I was pushing so hard for an 11.1 but traction started becoming a problem as the night went on.
Hopefully MIR some day.
Thanks Jason

I may try a spare ECU with a race tune next. MHP cams look very promising. Honestly, I think a higher stall torque converter alone will put me on the doorstep of 10's in good weather.
