What is the charging amps of the alternator on C63?
Im looking at a new battery, its says "MAX CHARGING RATE: 24amps"
Anyone know what amps our charging system operates at?? Will it go over 24amps??

Not sure what that battery spec is trying to imply but almost any alternator in a car will be well over 24 amps. The alternator in our cars is 14V/180A. Maybe that is the max draw of the battery.

Hmmmm.
But would the alternator give all that amperage direct to the battery? I doubt it, there would be a substantial amount directed at the ignition system, etc..
I might hook up a meter to the battery and run the car...
This battery is only 5 lbs
